the hotel was very nice, breakfast was good, coffee was great. There are a lot of restaurants to choose from near by and shopping. We were there for a business weekend so only slept and tried a midnight dinner at the awful Ihop down the street. Checked in late around 1am. Long drive to addison,tx. Key cards didnt work had to go back to front desk to get it scanned. Its frustrating when it's 1am in the morning from a 4hr drive. I found Hampton Inn Dallas-Addison to be excellent. The rooms seem really clean and not that superficial once-over that you can tell most hotel rooms get. The rooms do not have that weird smell hotel rooms typically have. The duvet covers get washed after each guest, and the beds are very comfortable. I like that the Hampton is environmentally aware. […] A very pleasant surprise was the well-lit bathroom - I didn't have to guess about putting make-up on and getting ready - also a nice full-length mirror in the room. A lovely woodwork desk and wardrobe closet - the woodwork there and on the headboard was clean and polished. Sound insulation between rooms is good. I stayed both during the week and weekend and noise was not a problem at any time. Location is great -you can walk to several restaurants and drive less than a block to your choice of great food. Staff at the front desk was great. The breakfast was amazing - selection of food great, area clean, and the lady staffing it was always pleasant and helpful. And that smell of baking cookies through the hotel every day is wonderful! I am a woman traveling alone and this hotel turned out to be a perfect choice. Way better than the pricier ones around. "The worst Hampton Inn"
We could not believe this was a Hampton Inn. We are frequent travelers and mostly stay at Hampton Inn. The quality of service by the evening staff was terrible, to say the least. There was only one person at the reception desk and he was mostly not there. There was a line of guests waiting for help, as the entire hotel had NO TV service, and there was […] nobody to help. As Hilton Honors members we requested a type of room which we were assured we would have when we called ahead and when we arrived we had a completely different room. My husband has medicine that needed to be in a refridgerator and we were not given one, further more, we were never notified that we wouldn't get a refridgerator. Honestly, we are not complainers and this is the first time in all of our Hampton Inn hotel travel that we encountered problems. There were many others that said they couldn't believe this was a Hampton Inn. The morning staff was helpful and apologetic. We ended up getting a refund for our stay. We came up since my daughter had an acting class that day. It was a wonderful hotel. The rooms were so clean, staff was friendly.
