SFO is conveniently located 12 miles south of San Francisco. BART, or the Bay Area Rapid Transit, links San Francisco International Airport with The City (as San Francisco is commonly known among locals). The airport is conveniently located to businesses in the north and residential and business communities to the south. Some of the leading biotech and Silicon Valley companies are within minutes of the airport.

"Nice extended Stay Hotel"
I was pleasantly surprised at the breakfast served everyday, one of the best I've ever had from a hotel. The location was very convenient and was located in a good neighborhood. It does have a commuter train which runs right behind the hotel, but it never made any level of disturbing noise awas never an issue for me. I would defintely stay here aga […] in. "Notice of "Under Repairs" not given by Hotels.com"
This was our 4th or 5th visit to this hotel, since it is very near to our daugher's home. We do not expect much from this hotel, but it is convenient. However, it is between a train track and a main street. IT is convenient to San Carlos, which has very nice places to eat, which we do enjoy. However, the hotel was under a refurbishment of the main entrance […] and lobby and check-in area. We had to enter and depart by a side-rear door. The "lobby" and dining was moved to the central atrium. The free breakfast was OK, but the eggs seemed like Army Rations. There was only One Waffle Iron, so it was always full. The coffee and rolls and cereal and breads and bagels were good. The OJ was fine. However, it seems to me the Hotel or HOTELS.COM should have given us a Warning about the Re-construction. No Advance Notice was given. The Rooms are REDONE NICELY and the New Beds were just fine. The rooms are greatly improved. It was a Good Hotels.com Rate for the time. "Currently under renovation - will be great!"
Hotel is currently under renovation. It seems like the guest rooms have been completed (and are very nice) but the common areas are still under construction. My only complaint is the size of the fitness room. There are only two machines, a new treadmill and a very old, uncomfortable bike. There is a weight machine as well. A new bike and perhaps an […] elliptical machine would go a long way to improving this. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decent stay but noisy"
Everything about the hotel was positive except for the traffic and train that seemed to carry on most of the night. If it doesn't bother you, then this is equal to the better hotels around the area. If you're a light sleeper, think twice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Quiet & Comfortable"
Quiet & ComfortableGenuine Expedia guest review
Overall, hotel room/condition was ok. Poor air conditioning - room temperature was uncomfortable. Couldn't open window due to noisy train behind hotel. Surrounding neighborhood not great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Country Inn & Suites San Carlos CA"
Newer hotel with a nice interior. They had fresh out of the oven chocolate chip cookies when I checked in. The breakfast while not spectacular was better than most in the area for this price range. The room was clean with a desk for the computer and free wi-fi. There was coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator in the room. Lots of restaurants within […] a mile of the hotel. All in all a nice place for the area and a reasonable price. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice place. Friendly frotn desk manager"
After checking into the motel, I went to my room. The front desk manager called within 30 minutes to ask if I liked the room. I told him that while the room itself was nice, I detected a disagreeable odor. He immediately found me another room. He then called again to ensure that I liked the room I was in.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not good if you need a hotel bill for expenses"
Could not believe they don't provide a final bill for expenses. First time I have ever had to argue with a hotel to get a final bill.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"San Carlos Country Inn - Decent Value and Comfort"
The Country Inn & Suites in San Carlos is very convenient to Redwood City businesses, such as Oracle. The hotel is surprisingly quiet, given its proximity to the CalTrain tracks and El Camino (it's right between both). The rooms are clean and reasonably comfortable (lots of pillow choices in the king rooms). The daily breakfast is also nice for a hotel […] of this price range. My biggest negative about the hotel is the scented deodorizer that they use when cleaning the rooms. The perfuming is so intense that I typically had the window to my room open all day just to get it toned down a bit. The hotel is close to some very good restaurants along Laurel Street in San Carlos. I recommend taking a stroll down that street (about three or four blocks from the hotel, west of El Camino) to check out the menus of the various restaurants to find one to your liking. Town and Spasso were both very good. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
