Cute little boutique Inn hotel but I've experienced better. Seems like a family establishment. Pros: - Clean, nice shower with massaging spouts & free breakfast. -Nice rooftop area but it usually is cold and cant really enjoy it. Cons: -Rooms are small with no air circulation. Woke up several times because it got hot and stuffy. -Got room 206 and […] tried taking a afternoon nap but could hear everyone at the bar happy hour. -No table space to put your belongings. Had to stack everything on the 1 chair beside the bed. Overall, you get what you pay for and next time, I'd be willing to pay more for a chain hotel. Cute hotel, very European feeling. Full yummy breakfast, free drink at Happy Hour in lobby. Owners were very nice, very helpful. Rooms were a little small but fine for a couple. I would not bring kids here as the room was small and I think they would have disturbed other guests. Was able to sit out on roof deck to read - very nice.

This was probably the best hotel that I've ever stayed in. It may not look like much from the outside, but the rooms are every bit as awesome as they look in the pics, if not more so. The bathrooms are ultra modern and serve for a great contrast against the beautiful vintage look of the room. The beds are comfortable and clean. There was not a speck of dust to be found in the entire room. In the morning, the owner, a charming Lebanese woman, personally served my gf and I breakfast and coffee. You cannot find a more kind innkeeper, and I doubt that you can find a better hotel experience in Monterey or anywhere else. PS - I highly recommend the Princess Di suite! Read more

On arrival we walked into the happy hour which was under way in the richly decorated lobby lounge bar. After a quick check-in, we were back in the bar for our complimentary glass of wine, including a selection of cheeses, fruits, and nuts. Additional drinks from the full bar were only $5! Other guests enjoying the warm atmosphere at the happy hour were […] ready to talk in the relaxed, intimate lounge. The guest room was small, but comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the faux-gas heater in the room, and the bed was comfortable. Most of the rooms have a spa-bath, but when we decided to enjoy the tub, we found that it slow to fill, and the water was not hot enough to enjoy. That was the only negative of our stay. There is also a large roof area that has a large line-up of sun loungers and BBQ area for your use. Breakfast was included in the cost, and served in the well-appointed breakfast room that is decorated with nice art prints. Breakfast was not your usual continental breakfast, but consisted of Greek yoghurt with walnuts and runny honey, followed by poached eggs on toast with sausage for the meat-eaters. Unlimited orange juice and tea or coffee was included. Overall an excellent experience. The owners are in the business of providing hospitality, and are not out to nickel and dime you at every turn. The hotel is located on a main street close to the bay. Inside you're in another world. Highly-recommended and we will be back. Read more

I almost didn't want to go inside Hotel 1110, but I am so glad I did. There was no parking and if not for the Google map on my phone insisting that the seemingly vacant building was our hotel, I might have missed it. If I hadn't prepaid for the room, based on the outside of the building, and the fact that I had to park two blocks away I would have found […] another hotel room elsewhere. But once we were inside the lobby, we were greeted with a friendly smile by a bartender who offered us complimentary wine as we waited to check in. Once we were checked in we were able to finish our wine on the roof-top deck then relax in our room in the Jacuzzi tub. There has been real effort made inside Hotel 1110 to make it feel luxurious. The bathrooms are tiled with marble, and the beds are inviting and comfortable, and every area was spotless. The bar in the lobby is small, but inviting, and the breakfast in the morning is first rate. I can only say two good things about this place: The breakfast was delicious, although it was on cracked and chipped plates, cups and bowls. And upon first glance, most things are pretty and stylish. After really looking at things you'll see that they are barely attached to the wall (i.e. shelves and mirrors). Okay, now the bad. Our room was mostly […] clean, except the floors seemed to have been cleaned with something resembling honey, as we stuck to the floors when trying to walk on them. The room was SO SMALL. We could barely fit inside of it with our two suitcases. The room was very warm with no A/C, also we couldn't sleep with the windows open because the hotel is on a very noisy, busy street. I didn't sleep a wink for two nights. In the bathroom, everything was falling apart. The shelves were not attached to the wall properly. The cosmetic mirror wouldn't stand up straight. The shower hose was not attached to the shower head, so water mostly sprayed out of that connection and not out of the shower head. Also, I do believe their elevator needs a tune-up and the parking is scarce and/or awkward. We paid so much to stay in such a dumpy place. I hope that you do not make the same mistake after reading this. In hindsight, as I sat in the lobby drinking a glass of wine after checking in, I saw a woman cancel her two rooms that she booked because she was not pleased with the accommodations, I should have followed her. The hotel has clearly been updated and the staff there were very friendly. However, we were placed in a room on the first floor just adjacent to the lobby and right on the front sidewalk. The noise from traffic on the busy road outside at all hours kept us up all night, and the noise from inside the hotel at the front desk, bar and dining room didn't […] help either. The room was cold ("fireplace" didn't do much to help), and in poor repair. The bathroom sink was falling off the wall and there was no counter for our cosmetics or toiletries. The closet had no hangers and space for our luggage was limited. Overall, it was not a great experience. Of all the places I booked on line prior to our trip, this was the best! If you even live there, you must go just for the night since it so special! You won't regret it!
