The Marriott Monterey Hotel is located four blocks from Fisherman's Wharf, Cannery Row and Del Monte Beach in Monterey, Calif. The hotel is connected by footbridge to the Monterey Conference Center. Monterey Bay Aquarium is one-and-one-half miles from the hotel. The 17-Mile Drive, a premier golfing area, is located five miles from the hotel.

"Excellent hotel but NO FREE INTERNET"
We had an excellent time and the hotel was really nice but it costs daily to attach to the wireless network!! It just seems ridiculous that smaller hotels offer it for free and larger hotels like this one are making you pay for it. Give me a break, this would make me not want to stay here in the future. "Very disappointing & not close to any sites"
We planned a romantic getaway for the weekend. the Mariott is usually a No brainer because we have always been Satisfied. We were told by hotels.com that we would be in a king room. When we arrived, we were informed that there were no king rooms available. The hallways were dingy and the bathrooms were very dated. When I got into bed, my feet got stuck […] in the hole in the sheet! Lastly, three hotel was NOT w/i walking distance to anything . We had to take a cab to get everywhere during our stay. "Monterey Marriot"
The room was the so small! 300 sq ft.! The place was nice and everything but we were very disappointed to find you cannot park your own car! We just bought a new car and we couldnt stand to let anyone else drive it. So we had to park in the metered parking all weekend. I will not stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice place, very thin walls"
Convenient location, friendly staff, comfy beds, nice clean rooms. Only draw back was the thin walls. Could here the couple in the next room enjoying what I could only imagine was their Honeymoon night. We got even, we gave them an earful early the next morning. :)Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not worth the price"

"Marriott"
Not as nice as other marriotts I've stayed in and probably not worth the extra $. There are many other choices in the area that would have better value because in this marriott you are not getting the "niceties" that usually come with the name.
