"Good place to stay near the park"
My husband and I stayed here overnight while spending time in the park, and going to see lava. The location was great for the park, we were hiking by 8:15 am, and since the park is open 24 hours a day, it's really great to be so close. The accommodations were fine--nothing fancy. The location of hotel to visit the Volcano Park in the Big Island is excellent. It was very quiet and peaceful as well. But having been on holiday for five weeks in Hawaii and USA this was the smallest accommodation in size, but it has a lot of character being an older property. We spent 2 nights over Christmas time and due to the size of the rooms […] it forced us to mingle in the lounge with other guests which in our case was excellent as we met up with people from USA and Australia, we are from UK, and we (6 of us) cooked a 'Christmas meal' as we had a kitchen , as only 1 restaurant was open in that area.
