Lokahi Lodge - The Chalet Kilauea Collection

The lodge itself was ok, nice big open area for guests to go to and sit and talk, however we never saw anyone else. The main office is in a different location and makes it a bit difficult if you need anything. The facility is older and you can tell by peeling wallpaper that it has not had much maintenance. Room was ok, a bit cramped with 2 double beds […] in it. Nice lani or porch running around the perimeter so all rooms have a place to sit outside. There are actually 4 rooms in this lodge and all have door to the porch and to the inside. Beds were very hard and the blinds in the room didn't work to open or close them. The room is only serviced every 3-4 days so since we didn't stay that long the room was not cleaned. This was ok but something to note. Over all I was not impressed. Read more

Is a stand alone bed & breakfast without the breakfast. But is very close to Volcano Park & secluded. Would highly recomend. You check in at another facility about 1mile plus away, Is like home converted to individual apartments with one big hot tube outside, Loved the Flowers and bushes, have breakfast at local cafe and Thai Restarant was divine.
