My least favorite part of being away from home is leaving behind my tempurpedic mattress. The Phoenix Inn's bed was very comfortable for a hotel! I was happy about that. My family and I had a great experience at this hotel. The rooms were large and clean, free breakfast was good and the staff were all more than willing to help with anything we needed. My 3 yr old loved the heated pool and fresh cookies in the lobby. I enjoyed the small court yard and BBQ area where I could find a bit of quiet time to enjoy a cocktail […] and check my email. A nice man working there recomended we take the kids to Johnnys Pizza which we did, it was like a Dave and Busters and Chuckey Cheese all rolled into one with bumper cars and carnival rides on top of the video games and all you could eat pizza and salad. The suite was an excellent value, as reasonably priced as any other hotels in the area and very large. The free breakfast selection was very nice including hot items like omelets and sausage along with a variety of healthier cold options. The swimming pool and hot tub were open all day which was great for me after a long day of fitness training. The […] staff was very friendly and helpful. The main negatives for me were: (1) the wallpaper in the shower was peeling up from the tile at eye level. Not very attractive. (2) The hotel had made a decision to use soap and shampoo+conditioner dispenser in the shower as an environmental consideration. While I appreciate that, the dispenser was slow to dispense and I really needed a separate conditioner. The only reason room cleanliness received a 4 is because the last night there the maid did not put on a new roll of toilet paper or clean the toilet bowl. We enjoyed our spacious suite which had a king size bed, a sitting room for watching TV , a second counter with a bar and sink, a two level desk which could be used as a work station, and a large bathroom with the sink and spacious counter space outside the bathroom. We enjoyed our stay over the Memorial day weekend. Pro's. The room was clean. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was awesome. Very quiet room. Con's. Our room wa not available at check in. We had to wait an hour. The hotel and reviews boasted about free cookies. I could smell them and saw the staff eating them nonstop and when I asked for one they […] said they ran out (as I smelled peanut butter on their breathe).
