To the south and southwest of downtown, this family-friendly region claims some of the city’s greenest pastures. Hayhurst’s 52-acre Alpenrose dairy complex boasts a stadium and a velodrome. Inside the Western-replica town of Dairyville, visitors find a doll museum and opera house, among other venues. Toward downtown, Portland Children’s Museum offers still more activities for the young folk.

"Entire Staff was great.Hotel Sucked.Time to update"
The room type(Queen w/sleeper sofa) I paid for was not a room type offered in the hotel. This is a problem for hotel and Expedia. Then I was upgraded to king w/sleeper sofa and sofa had no mattress. Won't stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Horrible place compared to Tigard Phoenix Inn"
Stayed just one night and moved to The Phoenix for the next three nights. Rate was exactly the same but the quality was incomparable! Tiny ill maintained, hot room with peeling wall paper and horrible bed vs. King bed with office/ living room area and great AC at The Phoenix. Would never go back to Shilo again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Shilo Inn Tigard, OR"
There was an old fashioned bedspread that looked to be about 20 years old on the bed; bed linens did not smell fresh and the bed was so hard I did not get a good nights sleep. The desk area was small and not comfortable for laptop and paperwork. I would not stay at this hotel again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Dealing drugs out the "Back Door""
I will never stay at a Shilo Inn again!!! There was some drug dealings going on the East end of the motel. The customers were going to the business building next to Shilo & a man dressed up with a Tropical shirt & shorts would make the deal behind the dumpster next door to the Shilo. The dealer was staying at the Shilo. I know exactly what was going […] on while my wife & I were staying there & I'm not going thru that experiance again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Needs major updating"
The room was clean but very small and had no modern appliances. Everything from the fridge to the tv was easily 20 years old. The room was so small that the fridge was placed by the bed. We ended up unplugging the thing so we wouldn't hear the compressors running all night. The ice machine and vending machine were in the hall across from our room, not […] in their own little atrium, so we were constantly awoken by other guests using these throughout the night. Despite having a "Do not disturb" sign on our door, housekeeping came by while we were still in bed (about 8:30 am). I would not reccommend it to others, no matter how low the price. "NOT WORTH THE $$$$$$"
the room had spiders and ants in it, stuffy and warm. Put on the 4th floor and with no one else, that was fine. The bed was very very stiff and we rolled together all night, Every time we moved the other moved. Train nose due to crossing, woke us up 3 time on a Saturday night/Sunday morning. Service was smiling face this is all this hotel had going […] for it. Breakfast was hardly anything we end up at a Mederitian restaurant off of hwy26 exit 1 (canyon) across from Honda dealer Awesome food. WE WILL NEVER STAY AT A SHILO AGAIN! The exterior need work from the front, window falling out and siding falling off. BEST OF LUCK TOO YA NOT WORTH THE PRICE> Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Room smelled, light bulbs out, very small"
Ok, first for the price, you get what you paid for. Now, as for the room... Smelled like "rear end"! From day one to the end of my stay. TV is from like the 80's and almost all the channels were very hard to watch, very snowy picture. Carpet is also in need to replacement. Ratty in many places. They say they have High Speed internet? Well, I don't think […] so! I think I connected to some one else. One night when I went down stairs to seek assistance from the desk clerk I did not see her. I hear laughing in the breakfast room and found her goofing off with some guy. Boyfriend id my guess. And, lastly the night I arrived I found out how thin the walls are. Take a guess as to what I am talking about!! For the good. The room rates are cheap. Bedding was clean. Bathroom was neat and clean. Location being right off the highway and for the distance of the place I was going most days. Also, it was not very busy of a place. Parking in front was easy. Would I go here again? Well, depends on why I am in the area, how much I am willing to spend and if I am going to spend lots of time in the hotel. For the most times I would say, NO!! "Shilo Inn Tigard Washington Square"
We reserved a double occupancy room. When we got there we were checked in and then were told corporate overbooked the rooms so they were giving us 2 single rooms for the same price we were quoted for the double room. I asked if they were next to each other and they said no...they were on different floors. My husband and I were traveling with my elderly […] Mother. My husband had to take one room and my Mother and I took the other. I would not have left my Mother in a room by herself. We should have been told ahead of time. The room my husband was in had no fridge or microwave. Also the soaking pool was closed. Half the exercise equipment was down. The room was very cramped. Would never stay there again. "Waiting to be torn down?"
No physical plant maintenance appears to be taking place and the staff amounted to one flustered 20-something young lady who, though pleasant, was totally unable to deal with items like the toilet overflowing in the room above ours causing a flood in our bathroom. This place is the worst managed hotel we have ever visited and no effort was made to […] solve the issues we raised other than to move us to another room with the same problems.
