"Pleasent Surprise"
This was the 4th hotel we stayed at along our trip and by far the nicest. Clean, Friendly staff, easy access. We stayed here when we brought our incoming freshman to move into her dorm at University of IL. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the location is very convenient to campus. Room was nice, breakfast was tasty. Very clean room. Only disappointment was the bed. I didn't find it comfortable, but maybe because I didn't adjust my side, although my husband […] did adjust his side and found it made little difference. This is a very nice and clean hotel. Certainly not the Ritz but fine for the night. The gym was adequtate, breakfast ok, location was blah but the room and bed were fine. They served warm cookies in the PM and allowed me to print my airline boarding pass in the guest office. The staff was very nice and polite. "Hilton Garden Inn Champaign/Urbana"
I had made a reservation for a room with a king size and a room with two twins. When we checked in we were informed that both rooms had single king sized beds. The lady at the check-in counter was very kind in explaining that we were not guarenteed a double room. Unfortunately, I didn't know that when I made the reservation. I'm sure there was something […] in the fine print about not necessarilly getting your request on the type of room but I did not see it. There were three of us and I would have booked a different hotel if I knew that both rooms were going to be single king size. I don't blame anyone for this but myself. I'm sure I misread the contract. It did make for frustration though... There was also a false fire alarm at 6AM that made things less than ideal...
