This is an OK hotel. It is at a reasonable distance from Cedar Point. I would suggest to stay most of your time at Cedar Point instead of this hotel. The room was clean, but the beds were uncomfortable and the pillows were pretty bad. Also, don't count on the free breakfast. It is just a couple of pastries, english muffins, juice, and coffee.

If you plan on just choosing a hotel barely to sleep there and thats it, then this hotel is ok. It's close to Cedar Point, but it's not the nicest place. The tub was dirty and I did not feel clean sleeping under the covers. Great location, not so clean place.

While I didn't have very high hopes for the Travel Lodge in Sandusky,Ohio what we found was so much worse than what I could have ever imagined!! From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, it was pure torture to have to stay in such a disgusting excuse for a hotel. The sheets were dirty, the "mini fridge and microwave" were probably 30 years […] old and just flat out dirty, and the towels provided were a poor excuse for any sort of linen. Honestly the only thing that I can say was clean and kept up was the shower and well thats not exactly the hardest thing to keep clean. Lets move on to our overall customer satifaction though! We pre payed so we were pretty much stuck which seemed to be okay the first night, it was relatively quiet and we slept fine. The second night however was anything but quiet!!! Around 2am the domestic dispute started outside of our window and that proceeded to continue for about an hour and half. Finally they decided to move on and we thought okay the worst has got to be over! We were soo wrong! Our next door neighbors then decided to have party and while my boyfriend and I are both in our 20's and don't mind a little noise, this was so far beyond "a little" noise. We both knew calling the front desk was a waste of time because they were utterly incapable of doing anything but finally it just had to be done. Nothing happened ofcourse and it was now 4:00 in the morning. As a last resort we called the police and finally after they stopped by the noise stopped. It was the most hellish night we have had in a while! Take it from someone that works in the hospitality industry, this is NOT the place to stay. I would not wish this hotel upon my worst enemy and definately not on someone who just wants to have a fun day at Cedar Point like we did!! Read more

When we first walked into the room it smelled like mildew ,I don't know if it was the air conditioner or the carpet but it was real BAD my friends room next door smelled the same way. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone .

Staff was friendly, room was clean and didn't smell of mold,the pool was open which was the main complaint of the reviews I read. The beds were okay, I could sleep on them but was glad to get home to my own. Only real complaint I have would be the towels. They were children sized and super scratchy. staff was helpful. air conditioner did not work, told the desk and it was fixed and cranking by the time i got back that day. perfect spot for a group of guys going to the drags. about 10 minutes from the drag strip. only bad thing, was not impressed with the group of kids riding their bikes and hollering all night!!! they really need to go!!!!!!!!

We were very happy with the location for our trip. The pool was not open and had to go to the one across the very busy street. As to our rooms they were tidy but not clean dust, dirt and hair in bathrooms , and throughout the room. One thing I have to say is the staff was great very welcoming and helped with everything that was asked of them.
