We've taken steps to improve our housekeeping department since your stay and I can report to you that we've received a lot of positive feedback regarding these changes. I'm a bit perplexed with regard to your comment regarding there being no manager on duty. We ALWAYS have a manager available to respond to customers--even if only via phone at certain times. I'm very sorry that you were told that there was no manager available--perhaps the employee was new and wasn't completely aware of all of our procedures. Still, no excuse and unacceptable, but just a possible explanation. Again, I apologize! I hope that you'll treat this as an isolated incident and give us the opportunity to prove our commitment to continuous quality improvement!

The Travel Lodge was a very nice hotel. Check in time was at 3 pm we got there before 11 am asked them if we could leave my motorcycle there because it was raining so husband and I could buddy up for the next 4 hours and the lady at the front desk said no lets check you in to your room...Yes they are wonderful people to accommodate bikers during Ohio […] Bike Week because of the rain. We were a little concerned that we would be getting a lesser quality room because of the very low rate but we were pleasantly surprised! The front desk staff member was very helpful as was the housekeeping staff. We requested a roll away bed when we arrived and it was in our room before we were. "Travel Lodge - convenient and resonable"
We arrived a little earlier than expected, but our room was ready for us anyway. The outside of the hotel looks dated and worn, and the lobby smelled stale cigarette smoke, was in need of cleaning. We cautiously went to our room not knowing what to expect. Having requested a non-smoking room, we were hoping that the cigarette smell wouldn't be there.... […] and it wasn't. We were pleasantly surprised with a very nice, fresh smelling and welcoming room. The table and chairs looked a little worn, but the important factors were fine. we got the king size room with the whirlpool and it was great for the cost. The location was close to cedar point. It was not the most fancy cleaniest hotels but it was clean enough and great for a romantic get away! The hot tub in the room was awesome and very clean!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
