This Microtel is located right off of I-68. Hotel is relatively new and well maintained. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was above average. We booked for a last minute trip to Deep Creek Lake. The hotel was by far one of the cleanest hotels and up-to-date hotels I have ever stayed at. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is across the street from a federal prision, but that did not bother us at all. We had a suite on the third floor. It was smoke free and spotless and the bed was very comfy. The refrig was perfect for storing the food we brought for tailgating. "Microtel in Hazelton - Clean and not micro"
We made a impromptu visit to Deep Creek Lake, and needed a place to fit family of 6. After reading the review from Trip Advisor, I decidede against some of the resorts in the area. I always reserve hotel that's clean, even If I have to pay premium. I saw a good review on this hotel instead. I've been to other Microtels before, so I knew their rooms […] were small, but clean. So I reserved 2 rooms instead. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the room was bigger than other Microtel I visited. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good. The selections were simple and basic, but I was happy to find sausage gravy with biscuits, my favorite breakfast item. It's only 30 minutes from Deep Creek Lake, so we are definitely staying here again when we come back for ski in winter. By the way, the hotel is not easy to find, and our GPS gave us wrong direction.
