"Fun weekend get away"
We live about 40 min from Branson and wanted something fun to do while it was cold outside. Are stay was very pleasant we resevered a Tower Room that way we didnt have to run accross the parking lot in cold. The Room was very clean and the divided room with the bunk beds was great for the kids. The water park had plenty to do and chemicals used in the […] water were not so strong that you couldn't breath like some other places. The only downside to our stay was the cleaning people did not knock on the door (they just opened it and yelled) and did this twice like they were trying to rush us out before checkout time. The hotel was very nice and the room was very nice. The only problem I had was with the inside water park. The clorine was very strong and the lazy river wasn't very lazy because the small children was allowed to be in the water without tubes and was allowed to run wild. NO RELEXING in the lazy river because you had to dodge small children running crazy. […] The life guards should have controlled that part of the water park better. "A fun place to stay!"
I read a lot of negative reviews about this hotel, so I was a little nervous that we would be unhappy. But I thought everything was really good. We stayed in the Tower and I think that makes a big difference - a lot of the negative reviews were about the atrium. The room is really large, with lots of space to store suitcases and to walk around. The […] bathroom was also decent sized compared to other hotels of that price range. The bathrooms have real tile floors and the counter/sink was a granite-type material. The head boards, side table and dresser were all new and matching dark wood. My son loved the kiddie cove and immediately put all his special toys up on the top bunk to make his own special place. We loved the waterpark and had no complaints. There was plenty to keep us busy for several hours at a time and I thought the lifeguards seemed to really know what they were doing and were doing a good job watching and scanning the pools. The lazy river isn't so lazy - the current is really strong and people kept bumping into us and I was afraid my son would get knocked under, so I was always a nervous wreck when we were in there, but it was more fun when there were less people. "Water Park is Great; Room is Basic"
Front desk staff was very nice and check-in was quick and easy. We arrived at 4:00 PM on a Sunday so it wasn't as busy as it could have been at other times during the week. Our room was pretty basic, nothing extraordinarily great and nothing extraordinarily bad. The best part was the A/C worked great. It stayed extremely cool and comfortable the whole time while the temp outside was around 100 or more. If we had known we would have brought our food and drinks we had left over from another hotel stay the night before. The best part about this hotel is, of course, the water park. Booked a room to check out space as we have exactly 6 members and usually get stuck having to get 2 rooms. This rook had 2 queen beds and nook that held a set of bunk beds, with their own flat screen tv. Of course, this hotel does have a 2 story waterpark which kept the other families and their kids scrambling up and down the hallways. This is not […] a problem as the rooms are surprisingly quiet. There is a good amount of room available, in the room so that you are not cramped. You have actual "elbow" room which was very nice. The hotel is in a good location, a good deal away from the main drag, setting back on one of the side roads. However, it is near one of the main intersections and you have easy access in and out. We did not have much interaction with the staff aside from checking in and out, but they were very friendly and polite. The lady who checked us in was extremely charming and nice. I would stay there again because the staff was so great. We had one small problem with the ac unit in our room but it was easily fixed and was back in working order in no time. Now, onto the best part about this hotel... at least our room. It had a shower with great water pressure and full size toilets.
