"Close enough to everything"
My husband and I stayed at the Ramada for a couple's retreat. It was one of the cheapest hotels to stay at and the pictures and reviews sounded pretty good. We stayed an extra night because it was so reasonably priced. We had a decent room though it didn't look much like the picture. There was no refrigerator or microwave, but I think you could rent […] them if you were really wanting to. The Ramada is close to everything. It is less than two miles from the landing and close to the shows. Tanger outlet is just down the road also. :) The wifi signal was too weak for us to get much work accomplished, so we had to visit the conference center at the Hilton (where our retreat was being held) to do our work, but that's my only complaint. We probably could have done the same in the lobby area of our hotel, but we didn't try it or complain about it. We had a good time and our room was clean. The price was right and there was a full breakfast next door at a restaurant. I heard someone complain (in another review) about having to eat off paper plates. Isn't that what almost all motels offer their breakfasts on, paper? The food was a buffet, with biscuits & gravy, potatoes, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, pancakes, waffles, fruit, cereal, toast, milk, […] juice, coffee and it tasted just as good as the other breakfast buffets you could purchase in Branson. Our room was quiet. Of course, it was not a 4-star hotel, so it could use a little updating. The beds and pillows were comfortable and there was hot water. We did not have much interaction with staff, however, when we returned to our room after enjoying Branson shows, the beds were made, towels replaced and we slept well. I stayed at this hotel for a girls weekend in Branson. This hotel is great to stay at if you aren't going to be spending much time in the room. It is a little small and crowded, but very clean. The hotel is in a reasonably good location on the East end of the "Strip" on 76 Country Boulevard and it is even a better location if you utlize the backroads to get to where you need to go. This is certainly an older motel. There is currently remodeling going on. After reading some of the negative reviews after I had already made reservations, I was prepared for the worse. It was self serve with plastic plates and plastic ware. For us, there was plenty of variety, There was 2 choices of fresh fruit along with some canned fruit choices. Also, there was pancakes, waffles, biscuits and gravy, 2 types of scrambed eggs, potatoes, 3 types of cereal, toast, muffins, milk, juice and coffee. The food was fresh and certainly above average. They staff assisting diners, was very friendly and helpful and worthy of a nice tip for their work. The location is very good in that you can go to the downtown Landing area quickly and also drive the other direction to reach shows, Silver Dollar City and shopping.
