When you pay $50 per night you usually don't expect much. but I was so pleasantly surprised with the room quality. great breakfast and friendly staff. Will stay again with my family of five. Hotel put a crib microwave and refrigerator in the room before our arrival. This was very appreciated. Breakfast was great. Building exterior was great. We hadn't been to Tahoe in 10 years! So we were very excited! Walk to casinos, shopping, beach, and restaurants! The location is the best part of the hotel. It's very close (walking distance) to the casinos and not directly on the main strip (basically one street over on an alcove). "I would go back again."
The hotel is a couple blocks from the casinos and lake. It has an old, rustic atmosphere with a little modern twist. We used the hot tub, which was very comfy. We did have to call for towels, but every request or question we had was answered or responded to immediately. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. We had requested a refrigerator […] and microwave which was waiting in our room and turned on when we got there. Breakfast was available every morning from 7:30-9:30. Hot eggs with sausage, potatoes, waffles, toast, cereal: hot and cold, fresh fruit, juices and coffee. The OJ seemed a bit watery, but the apple juice was great. There was a coffee pot in the room, which we love. It's not the Hilton, but it was nice, clean, and for the price, you can't beat it. The staff was very helpful and cordial. We needed a place to relax and this was it. The pool and spa was sparkling clean and very inviting. Staff was very courteous and helpful to make sure any needs were met. The hotel is located perfectly - we walked to everywhere we wanted/needed to go for 2 days before having to move our vehicle from the covered parking.
