For an overnighter this place was OK. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, the location was good. We were very comfortable in the tempurpedic bed, however the carpet was really dirty and they tacked on a hefty resort fee when we checked out. We got no hand towels until requested, then received one for two people. We went off weekend to avoid the masses of people. Positives: rooms was clean,bed was great. Negatives: TV completely sucks,showers run hot and cold when neighbors flush toilets, people at the counter should be fired or trained, preferably fired. The location was very central but right on Hwy 50—a very busy street. The pool is right by the highway and therefore noisy and not very relaxing. Also, there was a lot of green algae in the pool and didn't look very appealing (it looked like a swamp). "Good thing it's close to everything..."
Convenient location – the singular plus of staying here... which is helpful because I really wasn't too excited to spend more time in my room than necessary. The beds are clearly new and comfortable. Unfortunately that was where I wanted to stay because the rest of the room was disappointing. The water/steam damage on the ceiling was worrisome as the paint and plaster were hanging. There wasn't much lighting in the room whatsoever which was probably to my benefit of blissful ignorance when it comes to the rest of the room (walls, carpet, etc.). As for the “resort fee” – what a joke! I’m okay paying that in Vegas where there is a RESORT. This was a ½ sized pool and hot tub next to the road that I would have preferred paying the $12/night to NOT be required to use. This stay was overall a good value even with the $12 resort fee. This hotel does not qualify as a "resort", but the fee was required to offset new taxes as the resort is located between SR50 and the lake. The bed was very comfortable and clean. My husband and I stayed here during Easter weekend for my birthday. The hotel was conveniently located off the main street. To my surprise there wasn't much traffic noise considering the hotel put us on the 2nd floor right above the check-in office. Cons: water took forever to get hot, shower head sucked (hardly any water spitting out), and towels were small and thin but what can u expect? Hotel towels suck. The only complaint I have, not entirely the hotels fault, was the college kids next door partying the night away at 2am. Drunk girls screaming and yelling and boys coming in and out. When I notified the front desk the gal asked for the room# which I didn't know. I told her it was the room to the left. She said she "think" it was room number so and so and would give them a call. Do they not have a map of all the rooms at the front desk??? An hour+ later the noise finally died down. I figured she had called the wrong room and woke up some very sleepy guests. Bathroom setup is awkward along with frame. Otherwise, I thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The tempurpedic is hard under cold conditions but turn on the heating unit and it softens up after awhile. The hotel was nice and clean. However the service was horrible. When I checked in the late evening the clerk couldn't tell me of any open restaurants in the area besides the casinos. Walking distance to shops, casinos, bars and restaurants. "Great Location, small bathrooms"
The location was perfect for where we wanted to go. Close to the lake, shops, the casinos, retaurants and everything. Be warned: this Inn charges a $12 per day resort fee when you check out! And they do not tell you in advance. This is not a "resort" by any means. Has a pool and spa, but no breakfast, fitness room, business office...all those things you get in a "regular" motel now. There were not enough parking spaces and the lot was full of pot holes.
