Homewood Suites by Hilton Anaheim Resort

I can't imagine a better family stay than Homewood Suites Anaheim. The suite rooms are comfortable, very clean throughout. Traveling with two 'connected' kids, I appreciated all the outlets in the room, as well as the two flat screens. We did have an issue with the tub, but the hotel staff took care of that right away. The front desk was always extremely […] helpful and my boys appreciated the complimentary cookies at the front desk. My only complaint is minor-- at breakfast, all plates, utensils, were styrofoam or plastic-- all throw away. I would expect a hotel of this size to consider using recyclable materials or even washable items. Although the hotel was busy, the breakfast area never seemed crowded. There is a charge for parking and a charge for the Disney shuttle. There are plenty of places to eat, many within walking distance. I have a business trip to Vegas next month. Checked in room 324, after unpacked everything, found out A/C was not cold, tech came up very quickly and determined it was a bad compressor. Dragged everything to a new room 319 and found that the sink would not drain, what a bad experience.

We absolutely loved this hotel! I had My husband and I were taking kids: 18, 17, 9, and 7 years old, so we needed a hotel that could accommodate all of us in one suite. I can't say enough great things about this hotel and their staff. The hotel is conveniently located near Disneyland and is right across the street from Target. Since all the hotel rooms […] have a kitchen, we were able to stock the full-size fridge with water, sodas, and stuff for lunches. This makes a huge difference in how much you can save at Disney since Disney now lets you take in water and food - just no glass. The hotel provided a fantastic breakfast every morning for all 6 of us, which definitely helped with our budget. Breakfast had something for everybody including waffles, eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereals, yogurt, etc. Monday through Thursday they also offer a manager's special that includes a dinner buffet and free wine, beer, and sodas. Our stay was a most enjoyable one. The breakfast in the morning was terrific and having a dinner meal at night Mon- Thur was a great bonus that all of us enjoyed before returning to Disneyland. Went there for 5 nights, road trip from Colorado to California. Pros: - great location, walking distance to Target, walgreens to replenish on goods (very useful with the full kitchen there) - kitchen. Its amazing how much money you save by having that and preparing food to hit the parks. - cleanliness of the room - warmth of employees (not kidding, […] they're really cool). - hotel is well maintained. Cons: - I expected a good neighbor hotel to include the shuttle to Disneyland for free, nope, you pay for it, they are constant though, we never waited. - Parking is a little expensive for lack of security on the premises. Dont get me wrong, the area feels safe, but, I found the parking too expensive for being an open lot. - We had a bad shower and it took them 4 days to get it fixed, basically, we had hot water ONLY before check-out. Wife was not happy about it. - Breakfast gets too busy, I would add 1 or 2 waffle makers. Conclusion: Its a great hotel for a great price, the hotel might not be new but its well maintained, if it wasn't for the issue we had with the hot water taking so long to be fixed, I would've been happier. Would I go back again? I think so, I'd research other hotels with paid parking and free shuttles first, but overall, this is a great hotel for a family on vacation. I am very disappointed with my stay at the Homewood Suites in Anaheim Ca. Checked in with my family in the evening and that and the reservations went great. Got into the room and we all loved the layout. Before making the reservation I called and asked if the pool was heated, the person at the desk said yes and it was very warm. When we went down to […] the pool my daughter started getting in and it was freezing. Went over to the hot tub and there was brown foam with what looked like dirt on top of the foam. I know foam can build up in a hot tub but this was disgusting. The next morning when we went to shower the tub wouldn't drain. Not slow, it didn't drain. I took a shower an so did my wife standing in dirty soapy water. I wouldn't give my daughter a bath because of the dirty water standing in the tub. We were there for only one night. When I brought this up with the front desk the just shrugged it off as "oh well, sometimes that happens". This was our first time at Homewood Suites and I am not sure if I will be back. Read more

We stayed at the Homewood Suites for 5 nights while going to Disneyland with our 3 year old. Location was nice, just 15 minutes from Disney. We didn't use the transit so I cannot comment on that. It was nice being right across from Target though. we didnt use the pool either but it looked ok. The room was clean but you could tell decorating was done […] a good while ago since it felt outdated. However the two queen beds we were supposed to get were definitely not queen size. Our son always ends up in our bed by the middle of the night and it was squished. Internet connection worked fine and was free but it did suck to pay for parking Breakfast was fine, the one dinner we caught was ok (burgers). We got to dinner right before 7 and had no trouble making up plates to take to our room. The maid did a nice job so shampoo and soap was restocked and things were clean. Overall a good place for families. If my husband and I were alone we'd have gone somewhere a bit nicer but we wanted a suite with a real bedroom so our son could sleep while we were up and this was a good value. The best value for families traveling to Disneyland! The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the staff was amazing. The grounds were clean well kept. With the convienient shuttle to Disneyland and FREE full breakfast, dinner & refreshments (beer & wine) I can't think of a single reason we would ever stay at one of the Disneyland resorts instead.

We took our family of five to Disneyland and stayed at the Homewood Suites during the last week of May. The front desk was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet and the dinner buffet was always fully stocked with food. There is a laundry room on the main floor for you to do your own laundry if you want. Bring your own detergent, or buy detergent […] at their gift shop. There is also a small computer room where you can check your email or surf the internet for free. There is a Disneyland shuttle which runs twice an hour back and forth to & from the hotel. There is a fee for the shuttle, however the shuttle is cheaper than parking at the Disneyland Park. The hotel also charges a twelve dollar fee for parking at the hotel. I personally don't think they should charge that much. Read more

Loved our stay at the Homewood Suites, we were welcomed by a very friendly staff when we arrived early and were able to check in and rest right away. The room was perfect for us, it had a full fridge, dishwasher, 2 burner stove, cabinets and all utensils needed to make it almost like home. Maids kept everything stocked and replenished the coffee, sugar […] and all other items. The location was very close to Disney; we preferred driving and parking at Disney for few bucks more at $15/day rather than using the shuttle but that's our choice. Last year we stayed at the Embassy and did walk a few times back since th shuttle either took too long or was over crowded. We enjoyed the free breakfast served daily here; not too crowded like other hotels; during the week Mon-Thur they serve free dinner with beer and wine from 5-7 pm which we enjoyed once since the other nights we stayed late at Disney. What topped it all for us was that we didn't pay anything more than the reservation price already paid when booking at Hotel.com; so yes free parking and free 24hr internet. Our family comes to Disneyland every year and we always try new hotels, including the Disney hotels. Since we discovered Homewood Suites, I don't think we will ever go anywhere else! We just got back from spending 6 days there for Spring Break. I love the contemporary decor, full kitchen and L-shaped couch that pulls out to a double bed, comfy queen […] beds, feather pillows and soft towels, nice pool, baby pool and hot tub, and the location by Target and good Restaurants is convenient. We especially love the full breakfast every morning, and dinners Mon-Thur nights. With having 4 kids, the breakfast and dinner save us tons of money, and they are really yummy. We also love that this hotel has it's own shuttle for a very reasonable price ($38 for our family of 6 for a 5-day pass). It is super reliable (comes every half hour) and doesn't make any additional stops. There can be an extra $12/day fee for parking (some travel sites include that fee, and others don't) so make sure to ask about that. The staff is nice and helpful. We have referred this hotel to many of our friends and they are always very happy with it as well. The rooms are not overly spacious, but with everything else considered, Homewood Suites does not disappoint. I am one happy Disney Fanatic! Read more

Great location! Lots of restaurants around (pizza, Outback, Joe's Crab Shack and others). Only 10 minutes from Disneyland. Shuttle to Disneyland: go to the front desk and buy a round trip/all day pass for $4 per adult. Shuttle runs every half hour until an hour after the park closes. Parking at the hotel is $12 per day. Breakfast (every day) and light dinner (Mon-Thurs) in the evening were terrific and saved us money on meals out. when I booked the hotel, the web page told me there is a free shuttle to disneyland park. When I checked in the clerk told me as well. I lived in this hotel for whole month in last June and I only needed to show my room key to the driver to get on the bus and there is no charge. We traveled during CA's most rainy week in December. The breakfast buffet area had some rain damage and there were large bins on the ground for the leaks. It made getting your breakfast very crowded since there were many bins and people had to stand around them and wait to get their food. Also, the second night we were there, someone pulled the fire […] alarm as a prank at 1am. The hotel had to evacuate into the pouring rain. However, my husband called the front desk before we left and we were told to stay inside the building. Half an hour later, the fire alarm was pulled AGAIN. The following morning, the buffet breakfast was extended an extra hour due to the chaos of the previous night. The third day we were there, our refrigerator stopped working and everything inside was warm. I called the front desk and they promptly sent a repair man to fix the problem. Unfortunately, all the food was no longer edible (we had sea food in the refrigerator and popsicles in the freezer). I told the front desk that the was ruined, they just said sorry. Read more
