Very helpful staff. They went out of their way to assist me in getting to and from the airport and the nearby Aerospace museum. "Easy Access to Washington Dulles Airport"
This hotel is easily accessed from Route 28 and Dulles Airport. If you need to go inside the Beltway, Route 267 into DC is only one exit down 28. Overall the stay was OK for one night. The main complaints I had were a TV remote that didn't work and there were some intermittent power issues in the morning (the lights kept flickering, etc.). Other than […] that it was fine. The room was clean and spacious, the free breakfast was adequate for my needs and the neighborhood was quiet (no traffic noise or otherwise), friendly staff, fast and free internet. The hotel is near an office park so there wasn't any real food options near by except for a Burger King by the road. For a better meal there are more options about a mile away (TGI Fridays, etc). "My new favorite place to stay in Herdon/Sterling"
I have been to this area on business travel a lot of late - no other place was nearly as clean and comfortable as this! Very relaxing, quiet, far enough away from the airport that you miss the noise and traffic, just inside of Sterling on the Herdon/Sterling line and only a few miles from the business area in Herndon (and you don't have to take 28 or […] 267 to get there!). By far the cleanest room and most comfortable bed I can remember while traveling in quite some time... Very friendly staff even let me check in 1st thing in the morning, about 8 hours earlier than expected, and offered me breakfast! The AC worked very well and the water pressure was great (these things are not common in my experience in this area). I cannot emphasize how quiet the rooms were. The only thing that was not great was breakfast, good coffee and juices, but limited selections beyond that. I also appreciated the small/independent 'bed and breakfast' type feel - especially after staying in so many of the towers in the area. A bit pricey but very clean and new and quiet. Extremely close to the airport. Only restaurant next door is Burger King, plus a large Exxon station. Mall is about 5 miles away. I have stayed at many hotels throughout the years for business and pleasure. However, I have never in my life encountered a more helpful, polite, kind, and professional staff than at the Country Inn & Suites in Sterling, Virginia. Their shuttle service to/from the airport, as well as to plenty of other places they take you is superb. The complimentary […] breakfast is tasty and diverse as any you would make at home. However, the jewels of the hotel are the staff members themselves. A few of the ones I had the chance to interact with really shined and left a great impression. The entire staff, especially Dora, Rebeca, Maria, Oscar, Victor, Tina and others are some of the best people I have ever met. They actually do their jobs genuinely and professionally and with a smile on their faces. If you are looking for a real home-like atmosphere and a staff who is helpful and accommodating, this is definitely the hotel for you.
