Peacefully resting at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, the Keystone Lodge & Spa is one of Colorado's most prized vacation destinations. A winter haven for skiers and nature enthusiasts, the lodge is surrounded by thousands of acres of national forest and Keystone Lake, which transforms into an enormous skating rink in the winter months. Beautiful mountain vistas of the Continental Divide are evident from virtually every position on the property, which also offers complimentary shuttle services to the lifts every five minutes. Located adjacent to the Keystone ski area and within 14 miles of Breckenridge ski resort, Arapaho Basin ski area and Loveland ski area, the Keystone Lodge & Spa was ranked One of Condé Nast Traveler's Top 50 Ski Resort Hotels in North America, 2004, and has become a permanent stop for winter vacationers around the world. Conveniently, the lodge is situated directly across from the Keystone Conference Center, giving guests access to more than 100,000 square- feet of meeting, exhibit and function space.
Hotel Features.
Guests will gladly surrender to the soft glow of warm light that permeates the Tenderfoot Lounge, where live music, intimate lounge seating and a hard-wood island bar create a genuinely inviting atmosphere. The onsite day spa provides massages and facials for pampered guests, and a comprehensive fitness center with treadmills, stationary bicycles and free weights. A steam room, sauna, and two spa tubs (one indoor and one outdoor) are also available. A rarity for mountain properties and ski chalets, the Keystone Lodge & Spa features an outdoor heated pool, allowing privileged guests a well-deserved escape from their ski boots and goggles. The hotel provides complimentary parking for its guests.

"Nice But Pricey Stay"
We are a lower-middle income family so we don't stay in the pricier hotels typically, but we stayed here as a special event. I work in the hotel industry so I have a bit of an eye for some of the details. The hotel is very nice and has all the amenities you would expect in this price range, however, the hotel is starting to show its age and is either […] due for an update or a lowering of its price. Some of the finishes are outdated and there is a bit of lack of attention to some details. There are light bulbs out in some of the fixtures, the paint is starting to peel, the radiators in the corridors are dinged up, the vending machines do not carry the same product in all areas. For example the front desk directed me to one floor vending area for pain medicine but there was no machine there. I did find it on another floor. Eighty dollar hotels have continental breakfast. I enjoyed my stay and was happy with the proximity of skiing and the shuttle to get there. The spa, pool, hot tub, and steam room were fantastic! I had a manicure and was very happy with the service.
