"The Nicest Way to Put it: I Would Never Come Back"
This hotel was a nightmare. Let me just walk you through it... I am from a nearby town but stayed late in Ann Arbor and I decided to get a room for the night for a couple friends and I to stay in. First impress walking in "this place seems okay, I guess." We go up the elevator, and I slowly start to realize everything is run down and grummy. The hallways […] smelled like marijuana and stale cigarettes. The beds in our rooms were noisy and uncomfortable, and the bed sheets barely covered the mattress. The sheets looked like they haven' t been washed in day (my friend found a long, curly hair on her bed). The bathrooms were filthy... And there were stains all over the wall, door, and door knob... I assume they were blood stains. Haha... Long story short, this place was nasty and I was straight-up embarrassed taking my friends there! Never again! Don't go there unless they rejuvenate everything! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
It was the cheapest hotel near ann arbor that I could find, so I expected the worst. There was a Jimmy John's wrapper left by the previous occupant, so cleaning crew is lackluster. Walls are real thin, and I was able to hear the person next door talking on their phone; this problem is more evident in the bathroom. ~15 channels, so don't expect much […] to be watching some good TV. No hot water in shower first night of stay.....no fresh towels provided at all between check in and following morning. Not worth the money spent on a roomGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Adequate, but a bit sketchy"
Overall, a great utilitarian place to crash. If you're fussy, probably not the place for you. Some sketchy-ness at night due to a wedding reception, but overall, the place seemed safe and we were happy. The room was large and relatively clean. Coffee to go in the AM and we were pretty happy for the price. It got the job done.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Spend the extra money - stay somewhere else!"
This place was gross! It had a disgusting smell to it, the room was not very clean, not up-to-date. Just overall in bad condition. Will never stay there again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Victory Inn"
Good stay overnight and prices very low. Good location right off the freeway.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
There was no phone books in the hotel. A door to get in from the outside was not lock. The tolet broke on us. The hallways need to be repainted. They need a whole new ventalion system. The stairs smelt and so did the hallways. The free breakfast was not worth going to at all. It was by far a very bad hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Continental Breakfast?"
Well, a quick run to the local GFS could easily reproduce the "continental breakfast" of poppyseed mini muffins (still frozen), bagels, butter pats (also frozen), jelly, cheerios, orange juice, milk, and coffee. The hotel has obviously seen better days, but it's still fairly well maintained. In our room in particular, the bathtub continually made bizarre […] gurgling noises. I wore my flip flops when I showered. However, the sheets on the bed were clean, the room was nicely maintained, and the AC worked (which felt really nice). We opted not to swim in the outdoor pool because it was frigid. I would tell a friend short on cash to stay there, but anyone who can afford better should probably take a quick look at the many hotels right around the corner on Carpenter road. Glad I only stayed there for one night, but it wasn't the worst place I've been to. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Do Not Stay Here"
I repeat, do not stay here. lets just say i was there a total of 20 min before i left and got a refund and went somewhere else. It just looks creepy walking in, no cars in parking lot. Whole place smells disgusting. Our room, where should i begin? white towels, they were now brown. carpet stains, sink wouldnt turn on, toliet wouldnt flush, certain buttons […] only worked on the remote, only two (stained) pillows on bed and it smelled like smoke. This is just the things i can remember and we were there no more than 20 min. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Our first room had two very small pillows for a king size bed and the bathroom sink had standing water due to the plunger would not work. Our second room had no sink stopper and water was backing up when running (this was fixed). You had to flush the toilet a number of times for the water to go down. The bathroom floor had paint on it. We brought the […] two extra pillows from our first room because this king size bed also had two small ones. There is only a Thai restaurant on the premise with no lounge. Breakfast consisted on a cereal dispenser with one kind of cereal and a few small muffins and some bagels. The third floor had no ice machine and the second floor had ice but no soda machine. The staff was very friendly and helpful but the overall appearance of the place leaves a lot to be desired. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not to impressed"
The hotel room smelled like smoke even though it is supposed to be a non-smoking room. The hallways have doors halfway inbetween, which our room was right next to and the doors shut so loud that I would wake up everytime someone opened them. Sheets on bed did not fit the bed so they kept coming off all night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Victory Inn Ann Arbor - showing its age."
This hotel is obviously a few decades old. From the parking lot, you can tell this by its 70s style and color paint. This is fine and all, but the hotel also seems like it hasn't gone through much maintenance since then. The coat-rack was broken at one end, but it still functioned. The handlebar in the shower was busted at one end and just swung around, […] luckily I didn't need to use it. However, after completing my shower, the weight of a wet towel sent the towel rack falling to the floor. Judging by the number of holes in the wall, it wasn't the first time it had happened, and the time was never taken to fix it properly. The tile in the shower was also broken and poorly caulked. The room was fairly clean, albeit for one HEAVILY stained office chair. Wireless internet was poor at best. Couldn't even connect the first night, and when I could the signal would drop with no reason. If you're looking for a decent breakfast, look elsewhere. The breakfast here consists of tiny store bought muffins and bagels, with one type of cold cereal the only other option. They also shut it down at 9am, as opposed to 10am as was informed (not really like I wanted much of any of it though). It was a decent room, especially for the price. The only hotel I could find that wasn't gouging on a Nascar weekend. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A Victory Inn - more like a defeat to me"
The room smelled very bad, and the carpet always felt a little wet. The furniture was old, and chipped, and the "cable TV" really only offered 10 channels. The hair dryer in the bathroom had it's cord cut off, and the toilet leaked, making it sound like someone was always taking a shower, it was so loud! The first 2 nights there our room key did not […] work, and we found ourselves waiting outside of our room for the night employee to call the manager to try to figure it out. The back door, closest to our room, led to an open alley-looking parking area, and it had no key access. The door remained constantly open and anyone from the street could have walked in. I did not feel safe (or clean, for that matter). Pay the extra bucks to stay somewhere else! This is a dump! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not what you'd expect"
The price and location was what we were looking for. However, the hotel is very out-dated. Was not impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel. The hallways, elevator and guest rooms smelled awful. The guest rooms had stains on the bedding and the bathroom tub/shower was less than desirable. Towels were the size of my 1 year old. We also had a connecting […] room and in between the two doors it smelled of rotten old man pee. Luckily the windows opened so we could air out the not-so pleasant smell.
