SpringHill Suites by Marriott St. Louis Chesterfield

While the hotel was a nice enough, and the staff very helpful, two issues made the quality of the stay (two nights) less than we had hoped. First, when we arrived in the room after check-in, we noticed a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the bathroom. Since this is supposed to be a non-smoking property, it was an unwelcome surprise. Second, the breakfast was disappointing: the first morning was strange egg circles with gravy, but the biscuits were cold, and stacked with the other breads; the second day was the same mystery eggs with sausage patties. The other choices were the normal quick breakfast fare: self-made waffles, cold cereal and various breads. The one highlight of breakfast was the oatmeal. Overall, the negatives out-weighed the positives, and its very unlikely that we would stay there again. Read more

This is the second time we have stayed at this location and I was very pleased with our stay at this hotel. When we checked in the staff warned us about a soccer team that was staying there and told us they put us on the first floor and all the soccer team on the third floor. Wow,, I was impressed !
