"Old hotel"
Very old hotel that is just a cut above a motel 6. It was clean enough, but very marginal!Genuine Expedia guest review
"old days of glory"
To me the hotel would have been more fairly priced at $45-50 per night. The grounds are very nice and the sheets on the bad were soft. But overall the room was dissappointing. It had a slight smell of dog or cat. The decore is old except for the wall colors. The bathroom sink was cracked and chipped. I could hear my next door neighbor too clearly.Genuine Expedia guest review
"This place was old and tatty in 1970"
The pics of this place on the Hotel.com website are a joke. It's really an old, worn-out mess of a place. The rooms are dark and dingy, with foul ancient carpet that you'd be crazy to walk barefoot on. The sheets are stiff and threadbare; the bathroom featured a leaky old shower, and a toilet bowl with miss-matched, too small toilet seat; the tv is […] circa 1990, and last, but not least, the early 60's fan in the room rattled so loudly I could barely sleep. I travel a ton, and have stayed in dozens of better hotels at this moderate price point. STAY AWAY. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"no airconditioning. no sleep for 2 nights"
Hotel has central air/heat. With temperatures predicted to be in the 80-90's the hotel had not switched over from heat to air. After the first miserable nite, I was told it would be on the next day. That was untrue-so at 4am I went to the front desk to ask for a fan. They had none. I think they need to remodel so each room can make their own choice, […] either AC or heat. Wall plug between beds was not making constant contact which caused light and radio to go off. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
They need to change the central heating/ac. My room was so hot I thought about opening the front door to sleep. The heat and ac are only adjusted by the front desk....bad idea!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"old and lacking"
Old hotel lacking modern amenities like strong wifi. Also, my TV didn't work. Beyond the need for a remodel. Never again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not impressed"
The room which was available for us at the Lamp Liter Inn was "billed" a non-smoking room. Unfortunately, it still smelled musty of cigarette smoke in the linens and furniture and the room. I have asthma and am very sensitive to the smell of smoke. Perhaps they are transitioning to a non-smoking establishment, but it isn't there yet. And no, we didn't […] ask for another room thinking if this is what they consider a non-smoking room, another "non-smoking " room wouldn't have been any different. Thanks for asking. "Lamp Liter Inn - stay somewhere else"
we arrived on a Saturday to find that there was a party going on at the hotel...parking lot was almost full and had to park far from our room. The rooms are very old, and smell old. You can hear every noise coming from the outside...and due to the party and guests walking everywhere we had to ask people to keep quiet several times at 1AM in the morning. […] The second day when they did our room our tv remote disapeared, we asked the front desk for another one and they didn't have any extras. The pool was a decent size, but again old and not really maintained...you could see brown areas in the walls and floor...tile discolored, etc. I wouldn't stay there again...spend a few more dollars and stay at a newer hotel...
