"not at all what i was expecting"
Toilet and sink were stopped up and not useable. Took 20 min for them to fix it. The pillows were so stiff I woke up with a headache and my neck hurting. "Wasn't the best, wasn't the worst"
First and foremost, when you walk in the lobby, there was a very strong odor of natural gas. Made note of this several times to the front desk clerks, and they were aware, but acted like management didn't believe them that people were complaining. Overall, you get what you pay for here. It's just a general hotel that for a few bucks isn't too bad. Mind […] you, its no Ritz or Montage, but its a cheaper option available for an overnight stay. The hotel is located RIGHT next to the interstate, but we didn't have any problems with road noise. One complaint that we had in the room is that the toilet would intermittently run throughout the day and night. Not great when you're trying to sleep. The wifi was being fixed the whole 5 days we were there. The pool heater was being installed the whole 5 days we were there (both reasons I booked hotel) There was my husband and I and our 3 kids. And everyday we had to ask for blankets for the foldout couch because room service would take them. Everyday we would have to ask for more towels because […] they leave 2. "Fell way short in a couple areas."
Room was clean, felt old though. I was in a non-smoking room, but not on a non-smoking floor. Smokey smell crept into room, and the hall was like running a gauntlet of smoke. Also Wi-Fi signal was very poor, not usable at all. Killed my productivity for the week. "Admiral Hotel"
Service not good at all. We called to verify pick up at airport days before. When we got to the airport they told us that they don't pick up at the airport so we had to pay a taxi to take us to the hotel. Very surprising how nice the facility is for being a hotel, feels like a resort in the common areas by the pool/ restaurant. "Problems with Desk"
I book hotels all over the country for my construction company, and usually have very few problems. I go on Hotels.com, I select a site for our crews to stay and I pay for it, easy as that. With the Admiral, the process became FAR less than simple. I had multiple calls from my crew stating that they were being told that today was their last day there […] (it wasn't; I'd paid up for a week) and that they were being harassed by the front desk staff. Every phone call I made to the hotel was met with indifference or obstinance. I won't be putting my guys up in the Admiral again anytime soon, and I'd strongly suggest that you do not stay either. The room was clean and quiet. It provided everything I needed for one night's stay. The elevator could have used a good vacuuming, but that was my only observation. There is a convenient store at the gas station across the street for essential needs such as bottle water etc. The only inconvinence is that the wireless internet connection appeared to have been set up that does not allow remote desktop connection.
