"Heavy on Econo, light on the Lodge in Arlington"
I probably can't complain, because I am a firm believer that one gets what one pays for, but there are a few things that I feel like I should mention. On the plus side, the staff was very courteous, the house-keeping was very good, and I never had to compete for parking. On the down-side, my room was sandwiched between the pool, laundry room, dumpster, […] and ice machine. It felt and sounded like Grand Central Station. The walls were so thin that, even when someone wasn't walking by my room, the sound of ice dropping within the machine could still be heard. Also, the curtains were too long, so they caught the air from the air conditioner. I had to choose between keeping the curtains closed or staying cool...privacy or comfort is a difficult decision during a Texas summer. At the risk of sounding excessively negative, the breakfast was also a little disappointing. There were no true healthy options. The only options for freshness was fruit consisting of red delicious apples so small they looked like decorative elements rather than a menu choice. No hard-boiled eggs, no peanut butter, no oatmeal. I guess that anyone seeking protien would just drink milk: lots and lots of milk. Other than those things mentioned, I enjoyed my stay.
