"Dinosaur in the Rough"
While the hotel served it's purpose as far as having a place to sleep. Visible damage to the outside of the building, exceptionally outdated decor and fixtures, all the way down to the burn marks on the late 80's style tv and the tape on the remote control holding the battery in definitely makes the hotel unique. My sole purpose for staying instead […] of finding another hotel was the fact I'd already paid. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Days Inn Six Flags/Ballpark/Cowboys Stadium We thank Warren for his comments. We are disappointed in his experience and for not having the opportunity to address any of his concerns while he was at the hotel during his 3 nights stay. Our window film contractor is in process of replacing our solar tinted windows and our general contractor is in the middle of repairing out canopy which was partly damaged by another guest driving an oversized moving truck. While 5 year old TV in his room is a non-flat screen TV, many other rooms have it and we are in process of replacing all the remaining TV this year. No, his TV is not 30 years old as TV do not remain working for this long - the average life is typically 7 years. The TV remote was replaced in his room. We recently installed new pillowtop beds, bedframes, carpet, padding, bedthrows, bed skirts, and drapes. Our Stadium View rooms have new queen beds, new decors, new lighting packages and new furnitures. We recommend our stadium view room for guest who want more. We hope he will give us another try as we are constantly improving our hotel and services.
"Unknown Charges"
Nothing was indicated in the booking of this hotel that you must pay $25 to park even with a room there, if there is a event at the Cowboy Stadium.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Days Inn Six Flags/Ballpark/Cowboys Stadium We thank Amy for taking time to comment. We apologize for the confusion surrounding our parking fee, which is prominently displayed on our website in bold and highlighted and also located on all third party websites. We are sorry she is upset about the parking fee. In the immediate vicinity around Cowboys Stadium, all businesses have to manage their parking lots during Cowboys home games or Special Events at the Cowboys Stadium. As parking is limited at the Cowboys Stadium, the parking spaces in the immediate vicinity of the Cowboys Stadium are used by all the visitors. Unmanaged parking lots are quickly filled by visitors seeking to not pay for parking and in our case that would not be good as this would cause our guests to be unable to park here. Because of the extra costs associated with managing the parking lots - such as insurance, maintenance, added property taxes, annual City license fees and labor costs, all businesses in the immediate vicinity around Cowboys Stadium have to charge for the use of the parking during events - their charges are commensurate with what the Cowboys Stadium charges for their parking. Parking fee though an extra cost is not unusual. Hotels next to Houston Convention Center and Toyota Center (a Sports Venue/Stadium and Concert Venue) charge for parking. Hotel next to Arlington Convention Center also charges for parking. And most, if not all, Hotels on San Antonio's Riverwalk also charge for parking. In fact, there are other examples where Hotels located in close vicinity to venues or attractions that draw lots of visitors charge for parking. Visitors who like to be next to the venue or attraction usually do not mind paying for the convenience. Others on tighter budget do not mind staying further away and having to spend extra time on the road and deal with the traffic congestion. We should point out that those visitors who chose to drive in to the attractions will also end up having to pay for parking as well and sometimes they may
"Dissapointed"
We stayed here because it was close to cowboy stadium but we would have been better off staying farther away and taking a shuttle or even a cab to the game. They advertised free parking online but when we got there we had to pay more to park at the hotel than we would have paid for a cab from Dallas or Fort Worth. The walls were paper thin so you could […] hear EVERYTHING. There was no thermostat in the room and the blanket was about as thin as a sheet so I froze all night. Also the water temperature in the shower was very erratic and went from ice cold to scalding hot and then back to cold. I do not recommend staying here at all. Response by Days Inn Six Flags/Ballpark/Cowboys Stadium We thank this guest for taking time to comment. We are sorry for this guest experience and that the guest is upset at the parking fee. On our websites, it is well displayed that there is "free parking except during Cowboys Games or special event at Cowboys Stadium when parking fee will be charged." We apologize that this guest appear to have missed the notice. All the businesses in the immediate vicinity of the Cowboys Stadium charges for parking. We do have a parking package which would include one event parking pass if you stay at least two consecutive nights around the event. All our walls are insulated cinder block type of construction. We do not have any records in December 2012 of guest having reported the temperature and hot water issue during the stay; otherwise, the staff would have worked hard to make guest comfortable and address all issues while the guest was still at the hotel. Nevertheless, we have checked all rooms for temperature and hot water issue and made repairs, if needed.
"Would not stay again"
We arrived on a Friday. The hotel was old. It smelled. The room was very small. The carpets looked dingy. The wifi was not working. When I called the front desk to tell them they said they would reset it. Still didn't fix the problem. That night we returned to the room and it was hot. We messed with the thermostat and the fan. Still nothing. The fan […] would kick on for a few seconds then stop. I called the front desk and they said to turn the fan off. That the internal ventilation would cool the room. Two hours later it was still hot. Nothing had changed. So I called again. They told me again to turn the fan off. I told them it was off and it was still hot. So they got us a box fan for the room. By morning the ac was still not working. When we stepped into the hallway it was cool. So obviously the ac in the room was broken. When we went to get breakfast a man in the lobby asked if they were going to make more coffee. The lady at the front asked the man if the other dispenser was empty too? He said he did not know it had coffee and that he thought it had water. The lady rudely replied back "why would we put water in a coffee dispenser?" So we checked out. Will not be returning! I don't care if it is the closest hotel to cowboy stadium! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Days Inn Six Flags/Ballpark/Cowboys Stadium We thank this guest for taking time to comment. We apologize for this guest experience. It appears that he stayed in a room with one bed which is smaller than our rooms with two double beds or two queen beds. All the room carpeting and padding are new. There is free WIFI and sometimes some guest would have trouble connecting to it. All they would have to do is to bring their laptop to the front office and the staff will try to help. The room's WIFI requires a passcode to join. The average temperature in December in Arlington, TX was approx 40's F with lows of approx 20's F. We have installed new green HVAC this summer and we have also checked all room and make all necessary repair, if needed, for good measure. We have reported what this guest overheard to our front office staff and though we do not know what the entire conversation or circumstance was, we have taken steps to correct it.
the coffee pot was perched precariously on the rim of the bathroom sink. Condiments for 1 cup only. Bed was hard and felt like it had ribs in it. Wi-Fi reception tolerable but poor and the TV had 15 channels - digital went out and only analog available. Could not set their alarm clock. Pillows were great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Days Inn Six Flags/Ballpark/Cowboys Stadium We thank this guest for taking time to comment. In our room with one double bed, the room and bathroom are smaller. Please contact our staff when more condiments or anything else are needed and they will be happy to provide them. All our beds are new and are pillowtop beds. We did not have any record of any guest reporting a non-functioning alarm clock but we have check the alarm clocks in all our rooms and made replacement as needed. We are glad that the guest felt our pillows were great.
"Not a great hotel."
The odor in the hotel was more than we could stand. The desk person said it was something the owners used because it is pleasing for their nationality. Our room didn't smell that way, it was clean and comfortable. I would not stay there again and would not recommend it to my friends. Days Inn could afford to build a new hotel at that location because […] of the business they could get from Cowboy Stadium if the hotel was newer and more pleasing on the drive-by. It's within walking distance of the stadium. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Response by Days Inn Six Flags/Ballpark/Cowboys Stadium We thank this guest for taking time to comment. We are glad that the guest found that our location was perfect for Cowboys Stadium. We apologize that the guest was not used to the room deodorizer the hotel uses. All our rooms are cleaned, disinfected and deodorized regularly. Sometimes, the housekeeper might use an Air Wick product with its many lines of collection such as harmony with cherry blossom. Please inform the desk clerk if you are uncomfortable with anything in the room and they will work very hard to make your stay comfortable.

Response by Days Inn Six Flags/Ballpark/Cowboys Stadium We thank this guest for taking time to comment. We are sorry that the guest was disappointed. "If not a cowboys fan"
If you're not a cowboys fan this is not the pla e for you. The price is great and I enjoy waking up to cowboy stadium behind me. It does cost extra to stay on the stadium Side.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Days Inn Six Flags/Ballpark/Cowboys Stadium We thank this guest for taking time to comment. We are glad the guest found our price to be great and that he enjoyed walking up to the Cowboys Stadium. The rooms on the Stadium side are our rooms with two new pillowtop queen beds with new furnishings, seating, decor, lighting, carpeting, carpet pad, drapes and bed skirts. These rooms have Stadium view and they do cost more but you do get more. The Hotel is walking distance to Texas Rangers Ballpark in Arlington and within approx 1 mile to Six Flags Over Texas, Hurricane Harbor water park, Arlington Convention Center, and UTA.
"disappointed"
We stayed here for the Ranger/Red Sox game. The hotel smelled.strongly of cigarettes even.though it was a non-smoking room. The side entrance door was not locked. Therefore anyone that wanted to could come in the hallways. The room just felt dirty. We didn't go barefoot in the room after my son's feet got filthy from walking across the carpet. The toilet […] was not secured to floor. One wrong move and it tilted. There is a free trolley that will take you to ballpark but we didn't use due to wanting to be there early. We were only here for one night thank.goodness. definitely will not stay again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Days Inn Six Flags/Ballpark/Cowboys Stadium We thank this guest for her time. We are sorry for her disappointment. During the Ranger/Red Sox games, the hotel was full every day. It is possible that due to limited amount of room, some smokers stayed in a room the night before and decided to smoke even though, it is prohibited to smoke in the room or in the hotel as we are a smoke free facility ever since we replaced all our beds, drapes, bed spreads, carpeting and bed skirts early this summer. We have reported this to our housekeeping and they are going through the rooms now and deep clean any rooms that have any smoke smell. Our hotel takes security very seriously and have installed 16 security cameras and motion detectors in the hotel. All common areas and parking lot are monitored by our staff 24/7. We are sorry this guest felt the room was dirty. We have reported it to our housekeeping and have rechecked and cleaned all rooms. We were unaware that this guest was uncomfortable in her room as noone had reported any issues during that period of time. Had we known she was uncomfortable, our staff would have offered to reclean the room or moved her to another room and would have offered to find her another hotel if we were unable to satisfy her. We have also reported to engineering to double check all rooms for lose toilets and to resecure them if necessary. It is unfortunate that this guest was unable to take advantage of the trolley as it is free, air conditioned, and will save on parking fee at the Ballpark. The trolley runs every hour and this guest could have taken an earlier trolley or could have even walked to the Ballpark as we are within walking distance.

"Not good"
Channels didn't work in the room. When I said something about it, they ignored me. While I was checking out, someone else complained about some channels not working. Someone also said his carpet was soaked. Do they not check these rooms before and after someone checks out. Outrageous, you have too pay, during a major event, a parking fee at the hotel […] even if you stay there. No ice machine on bottom floor. This was the worst hotel I have stayed at in ages... Response by Days Inn Six Flags/Ballpark/Cowboys Stadium We thank this guest for taking the time to write this review. Her feedback is important to us so that we can continually improve our services and products. We carry most of the local channels and The Weather Channel, Cartoon network, CNN, Headline News, Fox News, Bloomberg, ESPN, Discover Channel, National Geographic, TLC, TBS, TNT, USA, FX, FIT TV, Speed, ESPN2, Encore, Encore West, Encore Action/Adventure. This guest was with the party who demanded to watch a Rangers game on TV. Unfortunately, on that day this Rangers game was not carried by the local channels but were broadcasted through Fox Sports Southwest which we do not carry. We have apologized to this guest for the inconvenience. All carried channels were working fine on that day. Our staff work hard at addressing guests concerns, making them comfortable, and it is unusual that we would just ignore anybody. Regarding the wet carpet, this guest is mistaken as to what happened - there was an incident with another guests who had spilled their ice chest in their room and our staff helped them clean it up. Our rooms are checked once daily if they are vacant and two times if they are occupied. Our second and third floor ice machines are next to the elevator. Regarding parking, it is free except during Cowboys games or Special Event. There was Taylor Swift concert on 10/8/11. We do offer a parking package which includes the parking fee for guest staying two or more consecutive nights during the Cowboys games or Special Event. We are sorry that this guest did not have a positive experience. We continually strive to improve our service and products. We just completed installing new carpeting, pillowtop beds, bed skirts, drapes, and bed throws in all rooms.
"The Days Inn- acroos from Cowboy Stadium"
I was disappointed because I had asked for a room with little walking (my husband has to use a walker). They put us on the second floor, at the end of the hallway. The room was warm, I turned the thermostat down to 68. It never cooled down enough to sleep comfortable. We did like the view!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Days Inn Six Flags"
I was definitly NOT impressed with the surrounding area! Seemed like not so great neigborhood, with locals just "hangin out" that were not even hotel guests. The toilet was plugged up the entire weekend and my two boys had to walk to the front desk to borrow a plunger, no hotel staff/housekeeping/maitaneince ever once offered assistance. The view was […] a solid fenced in wall, not charming. Breakfast left much to be desired as both mornings they were out of something essential (ie. pancake syrup, butter) to accomodate what was served. Main thing was too many teens running in and out with lots of booze, up and down the halls with profanity beig loud t all hours, and hotel staff did not seem to intervene. His feedback is important to us so that we can continually improve our services and products. We apologized to this guest for the record and blizzard cold conditions experienced in our area during his stay. "Over priced"
The room was fine for the original (Hotels.com) price. I arrived one day early and I was charged $150.00 for the one extra night. The one room was marginally bigger but definitely not worth $150.00, I felt ripped off. I am going back to Arlington next week and I definitely staying at a different hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Days Inn Six Flags/Ballpark/Cowboys Stadium We thank this guest for taking time to comment. We are sorry that he had issue with the room rate. All the hotel rates in Arlington, Texas are much higher during special event at the Cowboys Stadium because of the higher demand. We work hard at making sure we are competitive with similarly located hotel. We recommend booking early if you can to get best rate. We are constantly improving our hotel and service and we hope to surprise this guest next time he stops by.
