of course the entire north-east was a total mess with the snowstorm in october. but we called ahead and asked what would happen if there were power outages in the area, we didn't HAVE to go all the way to Newburgh. the staff on the phone assured us they had back-up power. but they didn't. we arrived to no lights, no heat, and no breakfast in the morning. […] i don't think i would have cared a bit about any of it (after all, we were all in the same boat) EXCEPT that we had anticipated a possible problem and were assured that we would be cared for. i don't think i could have been more dissapointed, we have always enjoyed hampton inns in the past. :( Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
