The hotel checked us in very efficiently. The lobby and halls were very clean. We felt safe too. Our room was also very clean and nicely appointed with a flat screen TV that was not overly complex as we have found in some hotels. The wall AC worked well and was not too noisy. The bathroom fan was a bit noisy but there was an option not to have it on, […] two wall switched. Checkout was easy too. We were in town for an event at the Performing Arts Center. We were looking for a place close by, but still nice. There are not a lot of options, but this was one of the better ones! Overall, it was a pleasant stay--only minor complaints; bathroom drain emitted a foul odor and one evening at 10 pm some rowdy guests were talking/shouting/laughing outside our room. Good breakfast and well stocked, free coffee 24/7. We stay at this hotel approximately 10 days a year when we visit family.

The boyfriend and I went hiking in Poway Friday morning and stayed the night here. The room was very clean and the bed was nice and comfortable. This hotel was very comfortable and a good value. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They gave excellent directions to destinations as well as dinner recommendations. The only complaint was the smell on the 1st floor heading to the room 119 area. The moldy smell must have come from the carpet, so I walked to 711 and got some Febreze spray. Apart from that, good job!

We were here for one night. It was spacious for three adults and two kids. The complimentary breakfast was good. However either the sofa bed or the beddings for sofa bed has the smell of a man's cologne. Also room 204 has a broken hair dryer.

When I enter the room I was just expecting a regular room but to my surprise I got a suite. The room is really nice and clean except for the bath tub which needs a little bit more cleaning. That room that I stayed in is like an apartment. I recommend this place if you are looking a place to stay in Escondido. The hotel is close to everything.

All of the staff were very friendly, and helpful. My only complaint is that for some reason the maid would not leave us 4 towels even though we had 4 people in the room. Even after I went to the front desk, and told them about it.

Stayed one night prior to visiting Safari Park the following day. The hotel has ample parking, rooms were clean and comfortable, check-in was quick and easy, staff was courteous, and my kid's loved the stay. In-n-out burger is also right next door. Perfect stay!

The two double beds took up most of the space in the room and there's hardly any room for us to move around. Small bathroom with no counter space. At least the room was clean and A/C was cold. Decided not to swim because swimming pool is awkwardly situated between parking lot and the resting area where people can eat their food and look at the pool […] -just weird. Front desk help friendly and efficient. Was given water and snack bag at check in. Full breakfast was delicious, more choices than other hotels. Close to freeway exit but no freeway noise. H. I. Ex. are newer, in good shape, and cleaner. We love the free breakfast, the convenience of the locations to the things we do in the area, how they provide toiletries if needed, and that they're within our minimal budget range! Great staff, but there was some miscommunication. #1 Booked a King room that said sleeps 4. We assumed there'd be a murphy […] bed/pull out couch, but there wasn’t. Our kids slept on the floor. This also meant only 2 towels and 1 sm. bottle of shampoo. I don't like to have to call for things. #2. Sheets are only changed if a specified sign is hung on the door. (Great way to conserve our resources!) 1/2 way through our stay, I put out the sign. It was mistaken for a "Do not disturb" sign and our room didn't get cleaned at all! The front desk had no idea what sign I was talking about and that the cleaning staff was at a Co. Picnic-is why the room was probably skipped! We were at the beach the day before and the room was sandy, towels/sheets dirty, no TP, etc. I got her to call someone while we were out for the evening. We got back late and were pleased to see it had been cleaned...except for the TP! We had to use the tissues the rest of the night and morn, then let the front desk know, AGAIN, at breakfast. I liked how everyone remained nice throughout all our "issues". There was complimentary water and a snack in the lobby most afternoons. The room was comfortable and spacious. The hotel was nice for our short stay in the area. We came to California for a wedding. We had a king suite. The only thing we did not like about the room was that the sofa bed was not very comfortable-seemed very dated. Also there was no door between our sleeping room and the sitting room which was a little akward for us and our father in law; who […] slept on the sofa couch. An older facility that has been modernized and well kept. All of the typical Holiday Inn Express amenities. Conveniently located off of the I-15 freeway, no noticible freeway sound within the hotel. 10 minutes from the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. Plenty of shopping and restaurants within walking distance.

The bed was comfortable and soft compared to most other hotels. The room was clean. The location is right at the freeway offramp, but noise wasn't an issue. Window mounted A/C worked fine for our stay. Fairly close to the San Diego Safari Park. A good room for the price.

Nice, comfortable beds. Not a huge room, so if you need more room get a suite. Pool was refreshing after visiting the Wild Animal Park. Hotel's breakfast was surprisingly very good. I would stay there again.

Most upsetting was I asked for 2 extra bath towels.
