The night I arrived they did not have the room I reserved. (Standard King) They gave me two double beds instead. The toilet in my room did not flush and wind was blowing around a closed door and the room had an adjoining door to the next room, that es locked but the TV in the other room was so loud that I knew sleeping was going to be impossible. "Where is global warming when you need it?"
There were two couples and we had reserved two rooms. The rooms had outside entrances. The outside temperature was two below zero. Both doors were frozen shut. After an unsuccessful attempt at opening them, the manaer gave us other rooms. They were cold inside. We turned the thermostats to 75 and left for supper. When we returned, it was still cold […] inside. We turned the thermostats up to maximum (85 degrees) and went to bed to warm up. It was still cold inside the next morning. No soap.....mattresses box spring spotted with dirt.....dirt running down door casings....door casings rotting at bottom,......bathtub and walls stained and no molding on bathtub........the bed sheets were clean and towels were clean, toilet was clean...Just the rest of the dirt made it unpleasant...I must say there has been only 3 places in my 65 years […] that was filthy and this was one of them.....never stay here again .. "Not worth saving the money!"
Where do I start? The previous guest's face cloth was in the tub. Tub wasn't clean. The room waste basket wasn't emptied from previous guest. I had to turn on the AC/Fan to drown out the neighbor's noise and noticed that the AC unit was disgustingly dirty and in serious need of replacement. Must have been 10 years old. "Horrifying"
I spent a nasty night at the Econolodge in Shelburne VT. I made a reservation because of the convenient location. The room was dilapidated, with broken sagging window shade, and the noise all night from trucks made rest difficult. The bed and coverings were old and the springs squeaked and sagged as I sat on the bed. The shower was dirty, with layers […] of crusty dark stuff in all the corners. It was depressing and creepy.
