Terrific hotel. We're going back!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great boutique hotel!"
This nice hotel was right down town and next door to The Liberty Theater where we saw Phil Vassar! There is even a roof top terrace where we took our own wine up prior to the concert.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Small but clean and comfortable room for a couple."
My wife and I enjoyed our one night stay at the Elliott, especially the roof-top terrace with the gas firepit. The view at sunset was breathtaking and someone did a superb job of decorating the terrace with flower boxes exploding with color. The view 360 degrees was amazing.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Room very hot"
AC quit and hotel staff had to come and drain it at 11pm. It then worked for an hour before breaking again. Also, didn't like the cancellation policy of 3 days. Otherwise room was clean, staff nice.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Really enjoyed the rooftop deck."
Comfortable, quiet, close to restaurants and shops.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Right in town"
Beautiful old building. Rooms were tight but comfy. Heated bathroom floors were luxurious! Staff was very pleasant and attentive. Nice hotel overall but had a few negative comments. Wish they had banned smoking on the rooftop terrace. Portable a/c in the room was a must the weekend we visited but the hose kept falling out of the window piece. Not to […] mention, they didn't leave any instructions or signs that the outer window needs to be opened in order for the exhaust to actually vent. We spent the first few hours wondering why the room wasn't cooling until we realized we had to open the inner window then the outer one. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great hotel experience in every respect."
Booked well in advance with no problems at check-in. Excellent staff service and condition of room.Bonus was excellent restaurant right across the street.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel downtown"
The Hotel Elliot was situated right downtown, in walking distance to everything. The rooms, although somewhat small were clean and the bed was awesome! The heated floors in the bathroom were a nice added feature too. The rooftop deck was a nice place to relax and enjoy the views. The breakfast was really good and offered a nice variety of simple, yet […] well prepared items. Although I knew there were other people staying in the hotel, you would never know. It was a very quiet hotel, perfect for just relaxing. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
While the staff was friendly and efficient, the hotel itself was disappointing. The stairs and halls were shabby. Our room was small and had a minimum of space for storage of clothing, and few amenities. There was a portable air conditioner which made the room either too cold or too warm. Guest parking is not satisfactory as the nearby lot is small […] and fills up fast. A Sunday market further limits the available parking. This is not a good value and all-in-all, we believe there are more comfortable accommodations in the area. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was beautiful and exceptionally clean. Rooftop deck amazing. Only issue was we found it hard to get to and park on Sunday due to street fair right outside taking up entire city block until after 3pm. Other than that, we had a fantastic stay and will definitely stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location in town, close to restaurants, etc."
We were just traveling through and only stayed for one night, but it was very nice and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone.Genuine Expedia guest review

Central location and good services.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Charming hotel but rooms are small"
The hotel itself is very charming. The service at the front desk was excellent, very easy check in and check out. They serve a wonderful breakfast with eggs, oatmeal and Greek yogurt. My only problem was our room was very small for the 3 of us and our bags of luggage. There was not a closet to put our things away and very little walking space. I would […] go back if there was only two of us and we were traveling without much luggage. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Awesome historical hotel. Will stay again."
Close to everything! Great farmers market on Sunday.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Clean and overall very friendly"
Our room was very clean. The front desk staff were friendly, however the individual working the breakfast service refused to smile, and did not respond to any attempts at friendly conventions. The surrounding neighborhood was great, within easy walking distance to many restaurants, shops, and the water.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel in Astoria"
Very nice comfortable room. Great location! Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Loved the roof top sitting area - great view of Astoria.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Fun, Vintage Hotel!!"
Great, friendly service! Clean hotel. Great location in downtown Astoria. Really close to the Goonies Prison. Pretty sure this hotel is haunted, lots of creepy noises in the night. But that was very cool and more of a pro then a con. Would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Stayed one night in a standard room."
As always, excellent service and the most luxurious hotel in Astoria. It's a bit spendy (at $185) so next time I think we'll try out the Commodore Hotel a block away for about half the price.Genuine Expedia guest review
The cleanliness of the room was below average. The room was not vacuumed daily and the coffee pot was not cleaned. The house robes were so ruff to the skin, I could not use them. Yes, it is an old hotel and the make shift heater was so close to the bed I would not use it if I needed. Too bad. There are more modern hotels at the riverfront that I will […] choose next time I visit Astoria. My recommendation is to book one of the newer hotels and skip the convenience of the Hotel Elliot downtown. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice spot from which to discover Astoria!"
A very pleasant surprise. All aspects a nice place to stay in a developing town. Surprisingly good and varied restaurants and interesting shops waking distance from the Elliott. Rooms aren't fancy or deluxe but good beds, nice cotton sheets, etc.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
What a Hotel - absolutely loved it and the staff was very helpful. Near to the downtown and restaurants. Rooms were clean, BEDS were cofortable, water was Hot. Only drawback was the one ways and construction while we were there. Would definitely stay againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Historical hotel with exquisite rooftop view"
The staff was very nice and helpful and the location was close to about everything you need.Nice free breakfast in the morning incl potato pancakes. The view from the rooftop was just gorgeous and you could bring food or some drinks up there and sit around an outdoor stove and keep warm and comfortable while you enjoyed the romantic and almost surreal […] view. Also very much enjoyed the tour of executive suite which was so quaint, romantic and lovely within same vicinity as the rooftop. I wish it was quieter in the morning because I didn't have to check out till next day and the vacuuming and cleaning noises were loud and I was very travel weary plus ill. Also wish the wine bar could be open more often. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Historic hotel downtown"
Our two-day stay at the Hotel Elliott was excellent. An historic hotel right downtown easy walk to all downtown events. Very well updated with excellent furnishings, bathroom, bed, facilities. Wonderful full breakfast in clean area next to lobby. Sunday market was happening on the street where the hotel is located when we arrived but we were still able […] to park just a half-block away and later move right in front of the hotel. Enjoyed the quite roof patio with excellent views. Room had better appointments than many we have stayed at costing much more. Certainly will be our choice if we return to Astoria. The staff at Hotel Elliott was great! They told us the best places to eat and where we needed to see in the town. The room was very clean. The hotel sits in the middle of town and you can walk every where.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Must-stay in Astoria"
Rooftop view and a great breakfast too. The only place to be that's close to most of the things you want to see in Astoria and most of the places you want to be (Fort George Brewery, Bow Picker, shop.ping and etc)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very comfortable, very friendly and assistive staff. Very much enjoyed our stay..thank you!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for couples!"
This older hotel has been nicely restored; rooms aren't especially big, but adequate. The bed legs curved outward, and a couple of times I stubbed my toe. The bathroom was great: heated floor, a sliding glass shower door (no cheap plastic curtain!) and good quality personal care products. The complimentary breakfast was also decent, though the hot items […] were just so-so (biscuits & gravy, fritatta, sticky buns); a nicer selection of pastries might be preferable. Staff was helpful and very pleasant--they answered our questions and gave us good ideas for our visit. Ideal place for couples or business travellers; not so much for families. The hotel was very quiet and clean. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel in Astoria"
Stayed here for the Astoria crab seafood and wine festival. Great location...shuttle picked us up down the block. Staff was friendly enough, no complaints. Room was cute, clean and comfortable. Great rooftop deck to.mingle with guests and enjoy a glass if wine. Would stay there again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great couples hotel"
Front desk staff helpful with printing a boarding pass. The bathroom has heated floors for a rainy day. And the bed is really soft and comfortable after a day of exploring.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect spot in Astoria"
The hotel room was even better than I expected - the room was nicely decorated and clean - beautiful updates yet still maintaining that vintage charm. The location was right in the heart of the city, which was perfect for getting to our event as well as site-seeing the rest of the day. The little perks like in-room temp control, heated bathroom floors […] and fridge/microwave combo really made it feel like a home away from home. The continental breakfast was basic fare with a few hot items - I can't comment on the quality, however, as most of the food was gone towards the end. Still we were so close to great breakfast spots, I did not mind. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel for a weekend at the beach"
The hotel lobby was warm and welcoming with a fireplace going (which was nice on a rainy, windy day). The room was clean and looked like it had been recently updated. We loved the fact that the floors in the bathroom were heated. They also had a microwave and a mini fridge which was nice for restaurant leftovers. The bed was soft and comfortable. We […] would definitely stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Small room, ok service, good location"
We decided to stay the night at the last minute. Our room was fairly nice but it was so small. It was just big enough for the bed (which was nothing special) and a small walkway to the bathroom. The bathroom itself was quite nice though, clean and elegant. Our window looked out over the roof of another part of the building so there was no view to speak […] of. I tried to get an oatmeal from the continental breakfast right before it closed but the staff member had already turned the fully stocked case around so she told me all they had was the leftovers in the cupboard below and gave me a flavor I didn't want. I thought this was inhospitable. The roof is great. It's cute and cozy and has good views. I thought it could have a little more covered area and/or seating up there. "Comfortable with friendly, knowledgeable staff!"
Charming and well-designed/maintained. Extras include cool roof terrace with great view, and lounge/workout room in basement. Staff had excellent recommendations for activities...Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Loved the Elliott"
We walked to almost everything and it made exploring Astoria much more fun and accessible. The rooms were comfy and the beds were wonderful! Lovely breakfast and fun wine bar. We will definitely stay again in the future.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A nice get-away"
The hotel has been nicely restored yet has much Victorian ambience. The location is great, close to restaurants and sights. Our room was large and had some nice extras. No hotel parking, but there were more than enough spaces quite close by.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Awesome Historic Hotel"
This place is great! This a a remodeled 1920's (I believe) hotel. It is modern and very nice inside. Location is in the center of an adorable historic town, make sure you visit Fort George Brewery and Astoria Column. I don't know if any of the rooms are ocean view but there is a fabulous observation deck on the roof with a fire pit and wind screen. […] Can't wait to go back. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"lovely in Astoria"
We enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel in Astoria. The room was comfortable, the staff friendly and the wine bar was a nice addition. The room lighting wasn't great but that was the only negative.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Fun, convenient hotel"
We enjoyed our stay in this conveniently located hotel. The fireplace in the lobby was very inviting. There is a rooftop available as well but it was much too cold and windy during our stay to use it for more than a quick look at the view. The included breakfast was minimal -- dry scrambled eggs and dry pastries.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"The best hotel in Astoria"
Well arranged room with comfortable furniture, Great view with the option of using the blackout curtains for sleeping. Service impeccable. Location ideal for touring - able to walk everywhere including the Astoria Column and all museums. Three excellent restaurants with a few blocks. I plan to return to this hotel as often as possible.Genuine Expedia guest review
I stayed here 3years ago and it was amazing! Clean comfy rooms, great service, friendly knowledgable staff....this time the staff was all very young and dismissive, offered nothing further than the prepared speech they have to say. My room...although the bed was still good, the pillows were worn out and flat, the room had not been dusted in a long, […] long time. The bathroom was just gross..the jacuzzi tub had yucky brown grime in the jets. Hand bars and light fixtures and clumps of old dust ..I had to clean out the hair dryer before I could use it, it was so gross. Went down for our breakfast at 9:45am, they served until 11:00. There was box cereal and old bread to toast .... Nothing in the warm servers, no staff around servicing. We left and went to the bakery up the street instead. I will not ever stay or recommend the Elliott again, so disappointed I chose to come here for out 19 th Anniversary. Next time, back to The Cannery, which IS fabulous. "Great place for a weekend get away"
The recent remodel of the lobby and addition of a breakfast room and wine bar are terrific. It really makes the lobby area more inviting to just sit and visit or watch the big screen TV. The continental breakfast is much improved over previous years with enough variety to please most people. The staff was very attentive, keeping all items well stoc […] ked. ""Wonderful Beds" in Astoria, OR"
Charming, old-fashioned hotel centrally located in the heart of Astoria's historic downtown. Easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, the riverfront and the Columbia River Maritime Museum. What could be more interesting than eating breakfast while watching the vendors and crowds at the Sunday Astoria Market right outside your door? There's even […] a roof garden where you can relax with a glass of wine from the Wine Bar as you plan your evening activities. This is a great base for exploring the nearby Oregon and Washington coasts, and it's the end point for the Lewis and Clark expedition if you're a history buff. So much more fun than staying at a chain hotel! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
We had the deluxe queen and it was like staying in a lovely B&B. They say they offer a continental breakfast but it was very elaborate, including eggs Benedict. We would definitely stay there again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best Hotel in Astoria!"
This is such a cool property to visit and seems to get better each time I stay. They now how a roof top patio to enjoy views of the city and river. The dining area is fantastic and the fitness room is much appreciated. I stay here anytime I am in town because of the hotels history, charm, and quality.Genuine Expedia guest review
