"A good hotel for privacy."
Slept well in spite of 30-45 mph winds outside. Abundant breakfast easy to fix. Hotel staff very friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very comfortable. Great employees.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Comfortable, remodeled room. Very friendly and helpful service. Convenient location. Loved the view of the marina and the bridge!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Views, Location and Amenities"
This is the second time we stayed here and love it. As I mentioned in the title, Great Views, Location and Amenities. Rooms are ample and comfortable with free movies and bikes to borrow. The hotel is definitely a 2 star, but if they could step up their maintenance and upgrades, it could easily add a star to it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very convenient for doing the Columbia Bridge run"
Very pleasant place, quiet at night which was perfect for us. Right on the water, nice view of boats and the bridge. Would absolutely stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great views of the marina and the Astoria-Megler Bridge ~ we were there for a 10k event walking over that bridge the next day and so the location was AWESOME! The walk event staging area was right in front of the hotel parking lot soooo convenient. The hotel room was quiet and comfortable but in need of maintenance. The minuses were that it was clean […] until I spotted someone else's towel behind the door (Kinda blech! But, everything else was clean) There was a bathroom light out above the mirror where you shave and apply makeup ~ but the bed was nice and comfy and furniture was too ~ so perfect for our needs this time but wouldn't stay here for a week ~ sorry. "Close to the beer"
We went to astoria for the beer festival. Last trip there we stayed at a corporate hotel which seemed a little overpriced and noisy. The Riverwalk is in a great location by a boat basin near the bridge about a mile from our event. Had a nice little self-serve breakfast bar. Also a decent selection of dvd's to check out. Comfortable king bed and a small […] balcony overlooking the water. Bathroom had a working hair dryer but tile and grout in shower could have been cleaner. Overall very satisfied, would stay there again. Room rates seemed fair Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Everything was ok, had to ask for pillows.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice balcony. Booked a King but was given a Queen. Room was ok. Bathroom tub wasn't clean including mold under soap dish. Probably wouldn't stay againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The room seemed clean upon entry, but not so upon using the shower. When I first opened the door to the shower, I noticed that the floor of the shower was quite dirty. Also, a used shampoo bottle and a used soap were sitting in the shower. This incident clouded our stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Labor Day Get Away"
This is an old hotel that has been consistently well maintained and upgraded The rooms have a small veranda that look out on the boat harbor with a long range view of the mountains and shoreline across the Columbia river ... absolutely magnificent. The breakfast is generous with fresh sausage, waffles, cereal, several kinds of breads for toast, a couple […] coffee choices, fruit and juices, etc. The hotels staff go out of their way to make you comfortable, and there are free movies in the lobby. Unfortunately, the TV is basic cable, so if you like to watch your choices are very limited. The neighborhood is rather industrial, right on the "riverwalk" and fairly busy with fishermen coming in and out of the harbor ... many sights and sounds of the Pacific coast are only moments away by foot, or you can rent a great bicycle from the front desk. Astoria downtown is enchanting, and the city is full of history. If you're a pet owner, the hotel is pet friendly for a nominal fee. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"First trip to Astoria."
I don't normally pay so much for just an overnight trip, but this was the least expensive option for this time of the year. I was surprised with the quality of the room [the parking lot could use some upgrading] but it was very quiet inside considering the proximity of the traffice on the overpass right outside the hotel. I ate at a very upscale restaurant […] within 'eyeshot' of my room; it took me about 3 minutes to walk there. Upon opening the curtains of my sliding glass door, I was treated to a myriad of private boats moored in their slips and the river lapping under my deck. From my room I had an awesome view of the enormous bridge that spans the Columbia. Astoria is not very big, so I had easy access to everything in town. The desk staff was affable and able to provide me with a downstairs room @ check-in time The breakfast provided was wonderful. I would stay there again on my next trip to Astoria. "Right on the water - complimentary bike rentals!"
The staff was very friendly, answered all our questions and were very helpful. Let me just say... FREE BIKE RENTALS! This was an unexpected bonus that completely enhanced our trip. We biked around the whole time! We didn't have to use the car at all! It was magical. The provided locks also, so you could lock it up and walk around, or go grab a drink […] or some dinner. The motel itself was okay. The room was fine, beds were not all that comfortable - if I stay here again I will bring my own pillow. That being said, it was right on the water by the marina, and had a great view of the bridge. One thing about being on the marina - it's a little noisy, just something to take into consideration. They had a movie collection in the lobby that you could sign out - old school. It was nice, they were free. In the morning, for breakfast, they had waffle makers. Nice touch. Went into town for coffee. Overall great service and location, especially for the price. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Waited Hours to check in"
Showed up at 2:00 to check in. (I did not find a check in time on my reservation anywhere). Front desk staff said check in is not until 4:00. Went back at 4:00 and they stated that my room was not ready. Waited almost another 1 and 1/2 hours to check in. Was told they are short handed. Not worth the wait. Rooms are outdated. "Great to go fishing from location"
Great place to stay and go fishing out of West Moreland. Nice people.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This motel is a bit hard to locate and shabby looking on the exterior and the view of a rather cluttered and tacky marina. But the rooms are clean and well-furnished, and the beds the most comfortable we've slept in for years.Genuine Expedia guest review
My 11 year old wrote "This is awesome!" On the small chalkboard in the room. We liked being right on the water and loved the complimentary bikes for use. Nice breakfast. A good family place to stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Room with a spectacular view!"
We booked this hotel because it was on the harbor near the Columbia River but we didn't realize the view would be this fantastic. All the rooms face the harbor and ours had a great view of the Astoria bridge. The sunset and sunrise were so beautiful. The room was older and had been remodeled some so it wasn't new and modern. However it was clean and […] comfortable and for the price it was a good deal. They had upgraded us for some reason from a double queen room to a single queen bed room with adjoining suite for kids with 2 full size bunkbeds and couch that could sleep 8-9 kids! So our son had a big room to himself and had his choice of 4 large beds or a couch! He also had his own TV. My husband and I had a room all to ourselves so it was great. The best part of all was the bikes. They have about 20 or more wonderful, brand new, Paul Frank decorated cruiser bikes (and some tandem bikes) for guests to use. The Astoria riverside trail is right in front of the hotel and it goes for miles. It is a great way to exercise and see the sights. The front desk attendants were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast crew and cleaning crew were nice too. All in all we had a great time! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice view close to everything"
Not enough handicap parking near the rooms. Already told family and friends. We will be backGenuine Expedia guest review
The view from the rooms is great. The hotel actually hangs over the water and surrounds marina. The downside of it is that the area is noisy, especially in early mornings, when fishermen are leaving.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel right under the bridge"
From the outside the hotel looked a little dated, however when we got into the rooms we were pleasantly surprised to see that things were updated, very comfortable beds and a great view with the Columbia River right off the deck. I will stay here again. The staff was also very helpful and engaged.Genuine Expedia guest review
Very nice view of the Columbia, bridge and harbor. We took advantage of the bikes that the Inn offers for anyone that stays there can ride. The rooms were clean, a little outdated and a little ran down. Our only complaint is that the shower did not have hot water, it really was not even all that warm. :(Genuine Expedia guest review
"Will be coming back!"
This place is in a great location right on the marina. With a wonderful paved bike/walking path that runs along the river pretty much the full length of town. They even have bikes available for a sunset cruise. The room was clean and spacious with a deck overlooking the marina. It was a bit dated but we noticed they are in the process of gutting the […] rooms and refurbishing so I'm sure in no time this place will deserve 5 stars. The 100 year old trolley's first stop is right across the parking lot from the lobby and only costs $2 for an all day pass a must do if your staying in Astoria. We will definitely back coming back to the Riverwalk in the future, Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Still needs work, but wonderful location"
Check-in took hours past their 4 pm stated time. They are definitely very busy, very new and very understaffed. Common areas needed sweeping and dusting, but our room was very clean. Rate was certainly fair for Astoria in the summer.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Looks can be pleasantly deceiving"
The motel is located in an industrial section of the town, however, the hotel is on the water and hosts a boat dock with about 100 boats moared. The days and evenings are quiet and the views of the Columbia river, especially if you are on second floor are really nice. Overall, it was a relaxing stay and we toured Astoria and surrounding towns to get […] to know them better. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A Pleasant Surprise"
Driving up to the hotel it didn't look like much, but we loved the view of the harbor.Genuine Expedia guest review
Quiet except for sea birds and the sound of the waves. Great views of the water, ships, boats, furry animals swimming, and distant green mountains.Genuine Expedia guest review
"We'll be back again!"
We loved staying at this hotel! While it is older & they were in the process of remodeling, the rooms were clean, the staff was very friendly, & the hotel comes with an amenity of complimentary services to use around town. We loved having the view of our room & the balcony right on the marina & to river to view the ships passing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"It's tired !"
It is in a terrific location but the room and furnishings are very old, and worn out. The upholstered swivel chairs had ground in dirt. The room was too small for these oversized chairs. The bathroom door would not shut all the way. The curtain had a hole in it.....looked like a cigarette burn. When we checked in we were told the room was ready but […] when we got to the room the bed linens hadn't been changed so we called the front desk. The check-in fellow came up and made the bed and explained that the " housekeeping" staff had cleaned the room but other staff was now responsible for making up/changing the beds. Weird ! The place is "old" and it appears that the owners haven't put a dime into it in 40 years. It needs to be gutted and re-modeled. Next time in Astoria we'll pay more and stay at one of the several newer hotels. I guess you get what you pay for. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Need an overhaul"
Understaffed and they did not seem to care that we had to check in an hour an a half late. It was 4:oo and he said he would call us when our room was ready and never did. The carpet was stained, walls in room were patched, not enough toilet paper, ice machine was not working, bottled water in lobby was empty. This place needs major cleaning and some […] customer service oriented staff. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The rooms were surprisingly large, had a microwave and fridge, and a great view off our deck to the boat marina. We were traveling with a 10 month old, so having extra space for the folding crib we have was very nice, as well as the fridge and microwave. The hotel is situated at the end of the river walk, which has a trolley car that runs until 6 PM […] (at least the day we were there). It would have been nice to take the trolley into town for dinner but it had stopped by then. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beautiful stay at the Astoria Riverwalk Inn"
Our room was nothing short of excellent! Comfortable bed, spacious, and the view was awesome over looking the marina. Everything was really close to the hotel, I hardly drove at all that weekend. "Hotel overlooking marina"
Didn't have room ready at 3:30 (check-in at 4, so understandable). Said they'd call me when the room was ready. Still no call at 5:30. Had to wait more than 10 minutes while receptionist dealt with two phone calls (one of which occurred while I was waiting) before she would give me the room keys. Light out over sink. Sink outside of bathroom and, when […] someone opens the bathroom door, the door would hit anyone standing at the sink. Room was very warm. No fans, no air. Piece of pipe sticking out of bathroom wall, probably from when sink used to be in bathroom. Pillows were too soft. Bed was decent. Alarm clock worked. Light over table at far end was turned on by a switch by the door at the opposite end of the room. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location surrounding the marina."
The motel is an older facility and under going a rennovation. The location surrounds a marina and the rooms are over the water. My grandkids loved looking down from the room's deck. Every room has a view.Genuine Expedia guest review
Loved the marina view. Nice staff. Supplies in room inconsistent from day to day. They seemed to be having a housekeeping staffing problem. We could not get in a room until 4pm and heard that another guest didn't get in a room until 5 PM.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel for location and management"
We loved the hotel. The sight outside of our room was great. It was in a great area of Astoria. The boardwalk and trolley was just behind the motel. It was in the center of the town and close to stores and restaurants and sites. I would stay there again the next time I am in Astoria.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Don't Let the Exterior Deter You"
When we arrived at this location I was very wary. The parking lot was dirty, the landscaping overgrown and run down, the overall appearance was very shabby. Since we had pre-paid the room and couldn't cancel we decided to take a peek at our room. We were pleasantly surprised to find a large, clean and comfortable room. Sparsely decorated with outdated […] furnishings, but more than adequate for our one night stay. Our deck overlooked a marina and had been newly updated although the patio furniture was worn. We noticed that there was renovation going on inside some of the other rooms, but management needs to step up to improve the exterior appearance immediately. Added bonus was free use of cruiser bicycles on the 5 mile Riverwalk path that runs beside the Columbia River. Very convenient to waterside restaurants and the downtown shops.
