Simply known as “The Valley,” this sprawling area includes the suburbs of Encino, Northridge, and Van Nuys. But Burbank is the key attraction, as several movie and TV studios are based here. Universal Studios’ theme park combines tourism with the local craft. Griffith Park provides much needed green in a city known for its smog. Nearby, the Burbank airport is an alternative to LAX.

"Excellent quality hotel - my NEW regular stop."
I've been staying at another hotel in Burbank when I come to the office every 6-8 weeks, usually for a period of a 7-9 days but this trip I decided to try the Residence Inn. I got a one bedroom suite with kitchen area and seperate lounge/desk area to the bedroom for cheaper than the one bedroom at the other hotel. Despite being next to the freeway and […] being a notoriously light sleeper, I slept very very well and comfortably. Free internet is always good! The reception staff here were excellent and I was very impressed. The included breakfast buffet was decent also. Good gym which I used (ahem twice) and pool area which I didn't. All in all I was very happy here. It's not 5-star luxury but it's comfortable, very well maintained and very convenient if you need to be in this area. "Great hotel, uncomfortable beds"
Everything about this hotel is great, from location, to the cleanliness, to the staff. Everything, that is, except for the beds. They are hard and uncomfortable, which is a real shame given how good this place is. If you need to get to Burbank, Glendale, Studio City, or Hollywood, the access is great - there's no need to take the freeway to any of those […] places, so you can avoid the famous LA traffic. But if you want to get on the freeway, access is close and easy. There are chain restaurants nearby, and the neighbourhood is generally good. If you want something better to eat, skip the chains and head to Pinocchio's Restaurant. The only other minor complaint I had was about the parking charge. It's $15 a day to park, and even though the underground parking is great, I think it's ridiculous that they charge for it. Judging by how full the parked was, everybody at the hotel was driving. After almost 22 hours of travel time, it was a welcome surprise to arrive at the Residence Inn Burbank. The staff were friendly and courteous, the room was warm and bright, well equipped, clean and had a few little extra touches that made the difference. Arriving to this Hotel the second time is like coming home. Especially as the staff in the reception welcomes You by Your name, even though it´s many days between Your visits.
