"Convenient to Airport... That's about it."
As a Platinum Member, I was like treated anything but. I was checked in and sent to the older tower of the building. The front desk person failed to explain where the concierge lounge was (or that there even was one!) One of the best things I like about this hotel is the location. It is right across the street of a food court that has everything from Denny's to Stick Fish (grilled fish) healthy eating. I can't write an honest review about this hotel because I never got to stay there. While checking in I was told that they had overbooked and that I was being shipped to another hotel. I was very upset that they waited until I got there to tell me because I had clients meeting me at the hotel and I still needed to change and get ready. I only had a half […] hour till they arrived. I wasn't offered anything except a free ride to a hotel that was 20min away. I then had to pay 20 dollars for a cab ride back to my original hotel and 30 dollars to the rental car place the next morning (I was originally planning on taking the free shuttle). "Great Service, Excellent Rooms, Will Stay Again"
I stayed at the Burbank Marriott during a 3-day convention and exhibition. Despite being the center of activities and constantly busy, the staff of the hotel were consistently friendly, helpful, and on several occasions went out of their way to fulfill special requests. The standard king rooms were nicely appointed, the beds extremely comfortable (I […] would happily purchase one), and the daily maid service excellent. There are only two limitations I could possibly put on this hotel: - first would be the restaurant; although the food is good (we only ate there once), it doesn't justify the high prices. -second, if you are coming from outside LA, there isn't much within walking distance except a Dennys and a couple fast food restaurants. I stayed one night at the Marriot Burbank at the end of a business trip before catching my flight out of the Burbank airport early the next morning. This hotel is pricey, but it is the only one in the area that I could find that runs a shuttle service to the Burbank airport at 5:00 a.m. The room was nice, and the bed was very comfortable. One of the […] most comfortable hotel beds that I've ever slept in. The rooms are equipped with a multimedia port on the desk (complete with the necessary cables) that allows you to display the video from your laptop (if you travel with one) on the room TV. This was a neat little novelty that I played around with some. You can devote the TV screen to your laptop, or you can split the TV screen between your laptop and a cable TV channel. The Internet connection for your laptop is wired and costs extra, however. You can pick up a free wireless signal at the Burbank airport, so I wouldn't pay for Internet access at the hotel unless you absolutely need it NOW. Pros: Comfortable beds. Clean. Convenient location. Fast food restaurants and rental car company (eQocar) within walking distance. Complmentary shuttle service to and from the Burbank airport.
