We were there because our son that lived in Delray passed away and we came down to clean out his residence and take care of everything else. "3 stars is a reach"
This hotel advertises/markets itself well. However, at 3 stars I expect a bit more than was delivered. I was shocked to check in through bulletproof glass for my after-midnight arrival. Fluorescent lights only in the room was a surprise. The carpet is very old and not terribly clean. I can tell they have tried to clean it up and freshen up with paint […] but hair in the tub and on the bed kind of grossed me out. "Could have been better."
Not a very nice stay...even for the short time that I was there. Only in terms of the room is concerned. The desk agent was not very helpful at all and spoke with an attitude. I was only there for one evening. However, the front desk was prompt and courteous. They called me to ask if I had any concerns or issues with the room. You have a small fridge, microwave, and sink. I bid for a 3-4 star hotel in the Boca Raton area. This hotel came up as the winning bidder and I researched before booking. Unforunately the pictures and reviews were a lot better than my experience. My experience was more like a Motel than a Hotel. "What a great place to go......"
Hotel amenities were tremendous, i.e. restauraunt, bar. The rooms could use a little tlc. Older tvs, old tubs. Room service in immaculate. My first impression wasn't the best. A previous guest had put the iron down on the carpet in several places, leaving a scorched silhouette of the iron. This was our second time staying at the hotel and just as before we found it to be quite confortable. Our room was clean. The furnishings could use updating but nothing is in disrepair that we could see. The person at the desk when we arrived late in the evening was very friendly and helpful. The exterior of the hotel was very nice looking. The lobby was impressive and the dining area was adequate. The room was clean but could use some fixing up to get it to standard.
