"Just an ok place"
Room was small. The carpets were being replaced, but ours hadn't been yet. The floor turned my daughters feet black. The bathroom was small and you could tell it was an outdated place. The key stopped working and they kept telling us to not put it by the cell phone (which we weren't). "Clean beds for one night stay"
The floor of the elevator needed to be cleaned, especially the corners. Our rooms bathroom needed to be refurbished. In the bathroom you could see the wall patchwork easily. "Spacious room, comfy bed, love the balcony."
We arrived very early in the morning as our flight was delayed. We checked in and the desk helped with a place to eat at 2am. My wife and I booked and paid for 5 nights in advance but ended up staying only for 2 because of a change in plans. Older hotel cracked tile needed some upkeep but the rooms were clean, also the pool and jaccuzi were kept clean and in good repair, nice little restaurant. while the hotel was decent and the rooms cleaned well, it was advertised as having airconditioned corridors to the rooms. It did not. More like a motel. The high speed Internet was anything but. The beach was 5 minutes away if you can find parking. Atlantic Ave. is 15 minutes away and a fun night spot. For the money this hotel is worth it. "Over-priced"
Work needs to be done on this property. A downspout was missing and water hit the parked cars so hard. I got soaked getting into my car. Elevator was scary and old, old mattress, threadbare towels, but convenient location. Pool hours were short and pool was not heated so I never got to use it. I don't like the open style bathroom/vanity area. The staff was very friendly but hotel seemed older than as appeared on internet photos.
