For our needs as cyclists riding the New River Trail it was a great deal. This was basic lodging at a fair price within a mile of the trailhead. We learned to take quick showers, because the hot water didn't last forever. It beat camping out in a cold March rain.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A good place to sleep."
The room was ok. The beds were comfortable and clean. The breakfast was snacks and ok. The orange juice wasn't Florida juice as we are used to. It was what we wanted as a place to basically sleep. I would say for the price it was well worth it.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Return trip"
All rooms open to a view of the town with the mountains in the background. This is the second visit to this hotel, and both experiences were fine. We had our dog, and I didn't know if the room would smell like animals when we requested a pet friendly room, but it didn't. And the price is awesome. "For a one night stay this did ok."
Billboard advertised free breakfast and there was none. Brochure in room talked about the swimming pool which ahd been filled in with dirt. For a couple of nights stay it was not too bad. Competing with other hotels this one is lucky to still be open. The towels were stiff and thin. We had just what we needed and nothing extra.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Reasonable Bargain"
We wanted a bargain, cycling-distance close to the New River Trail - half mile. Room was clean enough, bed not great, pillows poor. Nothing luxurious, but better than camping. Room was plenty large enough for us to put our 2 bikes inside. Did not need A/C or heat - just fan, so can't comment. "Continental Breakfast" was cereal, milk, coffee and 2 bags […] of Sweet 16 Donuts. 3 Star rating because it met our needs and expectations. Would stay again for same event. "Knights Inn Galax Va."
I've stayed here now twice. If you are just wanting an economical place to lay you head this place is adequate. I stayed here two nights for the price of one night else where. It is close to the old town of Galax and only seven miles off the Blueridge Parkway. I will probably stay here again when I am in the area just because of the price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
