"Much cheaper alternative to Manhattan"
Great hotel & very clean. Only issue I had with my room was that it did not have a fan in the bathroom. Very odd. Also, the neighborhood is not the best and the cab drivers at the train station never wanted to take me to my hotel. I can only speculate that they were waiting for a larger fare. "Nice Place To Get Away"
Also a nice place to stay if you're in town for a sporting event at the Prudential Center. There's really nothing in the area, but we did find a nice spot to eat; Dinosaur Ribs. But the hotel itself was beautiful, comfortable, and the rooms were roomy. Would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"GREAT hotel in bad area"
We had an awesome stay; rooms were great with comfy beds, nice hdtv, mini fridge and the bathroom was a nice size. Nice professional bistro style restaurant downstairs, but its not open all day. The parking isn't included, and it's a multi level garage with no direct access to the hotel. I've never been in that area before, so I didn't know it well […] but i didnt feel overly safe walking around the block to the hotel at night. "Perfect stay"
Was here for new years with some friends, it's in the "heart" of Newark, close to both broad street and penn station, perfect if you want somewhere to stay at outside of NYC and still make it worth the money.
