I asked for a different room because the first had a very strong smell to it. Turns out the second one wasn't different. A big bug crawled over my bed sheet. No housekeeping came by in the two days. The room neighbor was snoring and I heard it like he would lay in my room. Staff at reception did not think this is worth a "sorry". Probably because they […] deal with this every day. The room and hotel were clean. Being on the second floor, the noise on the floor above was to loud and annoying, sleep was very hard to get. The jumping around lasted past midnight and then started again around 6am. I informed the front desk at 12 midnight, but no follow up call or decrease in "jumping" was noticed. Staff and room were up to par except leaking toilet and the refrigerator would leak large puddles at times. everything was clean and the staff was great. However there was a tall black man that approached my 82 year old mother asking for money. I came out of the room and he abruptly left. I stayed at this hotel 2 nights to attend a college graduation. I didn't have a lot of money to spend on a hotel and the price here is very reasonable. For the price, location and the short length of stay the room was sufficient and met our needs. There is no elevator and we were on the 3rd floor. However, the staff was very courteous. The spartan room was quiet even though we were next to the interstate. Eventhough I would not recommend this hotel as a first choice it was not the worse place I have […] ever stayed. "Dont Stay here during any busy or important weeken"
Room looked like a kid who straightened up his room, not a national hotel chain that was professionally cleaned. There was food left in my refrigerator from the previous guest, a very pugnent odor of fried food throughout the room, no ventilation, therefore if you stay there then your clothes and belongings will smell like you just got off of work at […] a fish fry. "Stayed here once before and it was ok, but will NEVER go back."
After check-in, I had to rush to my room and change before an event I was in town for. The towel I used after my shower had an "once used" smell to it. Totally grossed me out and I reshowered. The tub itself could've used a good scrubbing and that's why I wore shower shoes. The shower curtain was completely moldy at the bottom and there also appeared […] to be mold in the corners of the shower. For this reason, i let the curtain hang outside of the tub. This caused water to puddle in the bathroom but I used the "smelly" towel and the kitchen towel for it. My second night in the room was fine until I took a look up at the top of the shower. There was a dirty, dingy, nasty-looking wash cloth that was haning on the top rung of the shower curtain!! I was so freaked out that I actually screamed out "Eww!!" and quickly finished my shower. Last year, we used this hotel for a weekend stay and had issues with ants and not being able to get clean towels because, according to the front desk clerk, there weren't enough to put in the empty rooms and give to us. There were also beer bottle caps under the bed (none of us drink) and a funny smell in the room. I thought I'd stay here again because of the price and being less than 5 minutes from my venue, but was disappointed just as much this stay as before. "Just Bad in Greensboro"
There was a large Go-Cart track 50 ft. from the hotel, that was very loud. When I was going up to my room there was a trail, of what looked like puke, all the way up the stairs and past my room. The hotel is in a nice location and well worth the money I spent. the beds are stiff and uncormfortable but I made it through the night. Also the levels of noise come through the walls very easilty-so if you need silence while sleeping it will be hard for you.
