The Vino Bello Resort is located less than five miles from wine-tasting rooms, galleries, restaurants and shops in downtown Napa, Calif., in the renowned wine region of Napa Valley. The resort resides in the southern end of Napa Valley, favored for growing pinot noir, syrah, Merlot and Chardonnay varietals. The wine train offers gourmet dining on a railway excursion through wine country less than five miles away. Hot-air balloon rides are available less than six miles from the resort.
Resort Features.
Old-world Tuscan design complements the vine-covered landscape surrounding the Vino Bello Resort. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in public areas. The resort features an outdoor pool area with a spa tub, children's pool and water play area, and a large lounge area for sunbathing. A fully equipped exercise facility with free weights is available 24 hours a day. Guests receive access to the amenities at the Meritage Resort next door, which offers a restaurant, concierge services, and an underground cave spa, wine cave and tasting bar. Pets are not allowed at this property.
Guestrooms.
All 64 accommodations at the Vino Bello Resort are designed with a Tuscan theme in warm golden colors, rich red fabrics and hand-carved wood treatments. Furnishings were handmade for the resort. Local Napa Valley artisans' work is featured in all rooms. Balconies or patios feature pool or resort views. Custom-designed kitchens in the one- and two-bedroom units include granite counters and breakfast bars. Living areas in the one- and two-bedroom units feature wood fireplace hearths, 37-inch, wall-mounted LCD televisions, and DVD and CD players. Studios offer kitchenettes and 27-inch LCD televisions. Complimentary wireless Internet access is provided.

Pinot-Glazed Rocky Range Chicken, Roast Rack of Lamb with Goat Cheese Polenta, wood-fired pizzas among menu highlights. Wide selection of wines, with focus on Napa Valley labels. Exhibition kitchen, arched windows, rotunda festooned with silk racing banners. Al fresco dining available. Breakfast, lunch, dinner daily; Sunday brunch buffet.
The Meritage Bar: Light fare, extensive selection of California wines, full bar featuring creative cocktails. Flamenco guitar entertainment Thursday and Friday evenings. Big-screen TV.
Estate Wine Bar: Located in subterranean Estate Cave. Fine wines by the glass from five distinctive wineries. Open daily until 7 PM.
Room service: Available 24 hours a day.
A year-round outdoor pool, spa tub, wading pool, and children's water feature are on site. Guests also enjoy access to the outdoor lap pool and spa tub at the adjacent Meritage Resort.
The fitness center offers cardio machines, weight equipment, and yoga mats in a light-filled setting with a big-screen TV and hardwood floors.
The concierge can arrange hot-air balloon rides, wine-tasting tours by bicycle, and other adventures.
The Eagle Vines Golf Club, 2 miles away, has an 18-hole course designed by World Golf Hall of Fame member Johnny Miller. At the beautiful Chardonnay Golf Club, 3.5 miles away, three 9-hole courses meander through Chardonnay and Merlot vineyards.
Skyline Park, also about 3.5 miles away, offers hiking and mountain-biking trails.

Napa’s downtown sports an open-air shopping mall, a renovated opera house, upscale riverfront developments, and wine-tasting locales. The popular wine train chugs through vineyards and past the scenic town of Yountville to St. Helena.

Very nice hotel, great folks working there! I would stay there again, but it is not quite in the heart of where one needs to be for Napa. It takes a good 30 mins to just get into anything. "Beautiful and comfy"
