Room was smaller than I was lead to believe. The wifi was on and off for my laptop and didn't work at all on my girlfriend's. The issue took a chunk of our day. "Manhattan view" was of a cemetery and a junk yard and a partial view of the brick wall of another part of the building... The hotel is located in an eerie neighborhood. It's surrended by warehouses and workshops. Not the fanciest in NY! But... it suited me well: I was on a business trip, had a car to park and loads of equipment to store for several days. The hotel provides a shuttle service to the subway station (it would take 15 minutes if you decided to walk). The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast wasn't versatile; eggs, sausage, bagel and pastries, cold coffee, milk, tea. Clean rooms, very helpful staff, but extremely limited parking and not a good hotel to be in if you want to get to any destination in Brooklyn. If your going to New York City, in comparison to Manhattan, odds are you won't be able to beat the room rates of this hotel while at the same time have a descent place to stay. The hotel is adequate! The hotel is ok, great location only 4 tramway stops to manhattan, free parking good breakfast , very very nice attendants. The bus drive to the tramway is very smart.. "Fairfield Inn Marriott Long Island City Hotel"
My husband and I stayed at the hotel for two nights. We had requested an accessible room but there was none available when we checked in, We were told that hotel.com did not put in the accessible code with the reservation. One would be available the next morning and they could move us there. My husband did not want to move again after we have settled […] in so we told the hotel later that we will just stay where we are. My issue was the bathroom, but there were handle bars by the tub so it okay. We requested for a fridge and one vwas delivered right away. The room was nice and clean and had a good-size flat panel tv. The free breakfast was sufficient to start t he day. We could stay in the hotel again, however, our issue is its proximity to the subway and the industrial neighbourhood. There is shuttle service at the hotel every thirty minutes and the service was good. The hotel is a good 10-15 minute walk to the subway, but for someone like me with joint problems, it is not good. Helt ok hotell för de pengarna vi betalade. En aning långt att gå till tunnelbanan men när man skulle dit kunde man få skjuts med deras minibuss. Blev väldigt besviken när deras buss gått sönder på vår avresedag och de ordnade ersättningsbil, utan att tala om för oss att det var en "limosinservice" som kostade dubbelt så mycket som en taxi hade kostat […] oss. Das Hotel entspricht nach meiner Erfahrung dem Standard eines US-Mittelklasse-Touristenhotels, wobei Service, Freundlichkeit und Ausstattung recht gut sind. Hervorzuheben ist der für NYC-Verhältnisse günstige Preis, der allerdings mit der recht schlechten Lage in einem Gewerbegebiet in Queens ca. 1km von der nächsten Metrostation erkauft wird ... aber […] das weiß man ja vorher und ist kein Problem, wenn man nicht vorhat, abends noch schnell auf einen Drink in die nächste Bar zu gehen. Außerdem bietet das Hotel bis 23:00 einen Shuttle-Service zur Metro an, der zuverlässig funktioniert.
