IMy boyfriend and I were in town for my niece's birthday and wanted to be close to my family without staying with them. The hotel was 10 minutes away so it was like a vacation within a vacation. It's right off of I-77 and even though we had a room facing the highway, we weren't disturbed by any noise. The room was huge....it had a king bed that was […] very comfortable and a work desk/media area that served as a room separator because the sofa was a fold out bed. Breakfast was very good, unfortunately, we like to sleep in so we only had it once. There are plenty of places to walk to and if you have a car, there are a few grocery stores to pick up snack food. The room was noisey because the fridge hums and makes weird noises. There is a hum throughout the hallways that permeates the room at night. "Perfect hotel for families with 3 kids"
We are a family of 5 so I always have to find hotels with 2 beds plus a pull out couch. This hotel has the usual bed configuration that we need, except the layout of the room is the best I've ever experienced. It's almost like a great room where everyone is together versus 1 room with a separate suite/couch. It felt very open. Yes, it lacks privacy, […] but it's not like there is much privacy when traveling with kids. It allowed for plenty of room for all our luggage plus some. It was very comfortable to hang out in. I also appreciated the complimentary breakfast and was impressed with its selection. I have been to many hotels with free breakfasts that only have fatty food selections. This hotel had Yoplait yogurts, low fat Kellogg's granola, fat free milk, fruits, etc. Don't worry, there were eggs, fresh waffles, biscuits and gravy as well. Plenty of choices for the variety of tastes in our family. Front desk employees were super friendly and there were always 4 coffee varieties in the lobby available. The hotel itself feels recently built and everything was sparkling clean. I booked online and am amazed at the rate I paid. I'm not allowed to say the rate but let's just say that after adding in the free breakfast and amazing room it was a great deal. One last thing, the husband and I went to the fitness center to exercise. All of the equipment is brand new with a TV as well. We didn't have time to swim but the pool looked clean. This Hampton Inn is just seconds off of I-77, and located in a semi residential area. We were 2/3's of our way to Hilton Head SC and this was a good place to spend the evening. Nearby is St Mark's RC Church for mass at 5 on Saturday evening, and many good restaurants nearby for a good meal. This Hotel is spotless and extremely comfortable and well appointed.
