    Just off Interstate 225, this Aurora, CO hotel is adjacent to Cherry Creek State Park, 5 miles from the Denver Tech Center, and 15 miles southeast of downtown Denver. A light-rail station across from the hotel connects to downtown.

    the bed was extremly uncomfortable. it was broke when we got there, and it took a day for them to look at and fix. the heater was so loud that you could'nt sleep. and nothing is free. most hotels offer some kind of breakfast. this place charges 10.99 for the same thing. evan the coffee was 2.00. if you asked any of the staff any questions or for service. […] it was like you were bugging them. we had stayed there 3 years ago and were very pleased, but between then and now it has gone down hill. i will not be staying there again.     I paid for a king-size bed and got two queen beds. First room - the rug in the room was not vaccuumed, there was a piece of jewelry on the floor in front of the bed and there were pieces of lint, dirt, paper on the rug throughout the room. The toilet seat had feces on it and on the side of it. When I spoke to the desk clerk - he asked me if we used […] the toilet - really?? Asked for another room and moved three doors down. The room was cleaner, but not by much, at least the toilet had no feces on it. We will never stay there again.     Every interaction with hotel staff, from the front desk to the lounge and restaurant, was difficult. They are not "happy to help". They created resistance in meeting any request for information or accommodation I made. For example, getting out of a late meeting, I wanted to go back to the hotel lounge for wine before turning in. I called the hotel and […] was unable to get a definitive yes that they would still be there to serve me (I was only 20 min away), because they only stay open if they have guests. Either they were going to be open for another 20 minutes or they weren't, it was not at all unreasonable to be asking for a definite yes or no. They had no concern for how frustrating it was to not be able to get answers out of them, let alone them show any desire to be of service. The hotel itself also is not responsible for what the 800 number customer service representatives promise or information they represent as your agreed reservation. They just say, well, there's a note on your reservation. Well, it wasn't expressed by the rep over the phone as a note they were going to make on the reservation and it was up to the hotel to honor it or not. Blaming each other instead of being a team providing guest services seems to be their current attitude. Overall, a complete lack of being at service.     I have stayed at this Hotel several times, but this time the stay was horrible. The bedding was white and it was stained and the ceiling Was so filled with dirt and dust it was falling on top of you all night. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and my next trip to Denver, Co I will choose to stay somewhere esle.

    Called (twice) and emailed to make sure we would be picked up from the airport. When i called from the airport to get picked up, they said they were done with airport shuttles for the day. I said, "WHAT??" and that i had called prior. So they sent someone out, said it would take 30 minutes for them to get there (and that the driver was talking to police […] about a domestic issue with a child.... (huh?)). 50 minutes later (and an hour and a half after i had scheduled to be picked up, they arrived, and none to happy to see us. The lobby was alright, but we had to wait for one of the 3 receptionists to check us in because they were all discussing with our driver the plan for the 4 people sleeping in the lobby that they didn't have a room for (and had reserved one!) They upgraded my two bed room to a suite, which i didn't want. There was a hole in two places. The shades don't block the sun. It was an older room, dusty, and just like everyone says. The website says $5 breakfast, but it's really $10. The swimming pool was nice. The bar doesn't open until 2pm. We walked easily to the Denver Train station, so that was cool.     when i first check this hotel at this site it looked pretty nice and affordable. i always want my hotel to have a microwave and fridge but they didnt have that. but i still booked this hotel. i booked the king size bedroom and when i was about to check in they gave me a two queen beds instead of what i booked. they said that their system was down earlier […] of the day that i checked in so we are getting the two queen. i was so mad that i was getting something that i didnt booked for. and they didnt even called me to let me know that im not getting the room that i booked. what is terrible is that they didnt even try to do something about it or work something out. and one of the front desk named jasmin thinks its funny that we're getting two queen beds and made a joke about it. it is so disappointing. me and my boyfriend travels a lot but i will definately not gonna come back in this hotel. comfort suites is way better than red lion hotel.     At least there were no bed bugs, i think.. I have nothing good to say about this hotel... It was memorial day weekend, but they didnt clean or prepare the pool area at all, no sweeping, cleaning tables, no poolside service; Two of the kids had nose bleeds after swimming in this pool, 2 kids! Unsafe chlorine, skin rashes... Room service horrible; I got […] answering machines when trying to call downstairs to front desk and order food, had to go down to order food. Staff is lazy, they had no customer service, spoke as if they didnt care at all, as if they were laying down while speaking... I ordered tea, they brought me warm water, like tap water, no sugar no spoon, obviously no cream... ordered cheeseburger, no cheese... Housecleaning ok, one of my beds had a spill, so I took off the sheets for the housekeeper to know to change them, she left them folded on a chair, didnt vacuum room or clean tables... The hotel had a wedding while I was there, lasted all night, next morning there were people sleeping on my 7th floor in hallway... WORST OF ALL, they gave my room that I had 6 nights to another guest without knowing it, 12:30AM two young men enter my room while Im sleeping, they entered my room. Privacy? security? When my husband went downstairs immediately to confront hotel staff, they had no idea what they did, they didnt even know which room we were in to correct it... No safe, no fridge, no balcony, under staffed as well... Red Lion should fire all of them and start over... Read more

    They say they are across the street from the light rail, which is technically true, but they don't mention that the street is an 8 lane divided highway. To get from the train station you have to go under a long dark highway overpass to reach the pedestrian light and also cross two highway on/off ramps. The hotel property is fenced in with only a small […] unpaved section open for access (imagine dragging luggage over a narrow dirt path). The bathroom was dirty and old and one of the vents has an inch of dust in it. We stayed for two nights and when we returned to our room late the second night we discovered that our room had not been cleaned. Most of the staff we encounterd varioed from indifferent to downright rude, with the exception of the night security guard who brought us towels and TP late night when we found our room hadn't been cleaned. The info book in the room said the bar was open until 1:00 am and when we went down at 11:00 pm they were closed. Read more
