For the location it was good. Clean. Elevators didn't all work. Had to take a shuttle into town that cost about $56 for my family of five.

Really thing that Days inn needs to consider if this property should hand their sign without a fairly sizable investment in remodeling. Happy to speak with anyone from the hotel chain with more detail.

We went for a 5 night stay as a couple. Even Said I would not recommend the hotel, I wish to add that maybe looking at a budget accomodation with convenient shuttle transfer, the hotel may fit into your requirements. Service at the Front Desk is ok, even performance or follow up down the line does not work at all. On our second day we requested to check […] the AC or heater (it was @ 40 F) as it was only blowing out cold air and did not turn off at all. On the third day maintenance finally came, we asked to disconnect the unit to at least shut it off, what he did, but the air still blow out...:( He said he would fix it the next day when we leave the room...well until the day we left the unit remained disconnected and probably it still is. left a note for the maid to not take away the extra blanket (remember it was cold in the room...) with a 2 US tip...and guess what...she took both. Horrible! I payed for an executive queen suite on hotels.com when I arrived the put me in a standard room. Looked very old and run down. I complained so they upgraded me according to them. New room was what I originally paid for. & it still seemed run down but improvement from first room. Then the AC leaked yellow condensation and ruined a very expensive […] shirt I had. All the bathroom towels also got stained. They only offered to give a credit of $50 & to speak with a manager the next day to get full refund of my stay because $50 for a $120 dress shirt wasn't good enough for me. Next day the manager was very unsympathetic and could care less. Told me there was nothing she could do. Then I was kicked out & told they had no rooms available when my plane got delayed & I needed to stay an extra night. To top it all offf. they tried to charge me an extra night I wasn't even there for. I had to show proof of my airline ticket & the time I arrived to prove I did not even arrive in town till the following day!! Pffff! Very unprofessional & crooks! Read more

The Hotel room was clean, we checked and did not find any indication of bed bugs, bathroom big enough and well kept. Shuttle runs at convenient times and takes only 15 minutes to Times Square. Would stay again.

We arrived late in the evening and left early in the morning to catch the Ferry to Manhattan for the Macy's parade. We didn't spend a lot of time there, but we got a good night's sleep and a hot shower close to the Ferry terminal - which was all we needed.

The value for the price was great. The hotel has a transport service into NYC which was great. It is very expensive to pay for cab and impossible to drive or park. They have a nice morning cafe with nicely priced breakfasts. We enjoyed our stay.

We stayed here to be close to public transportation to NYC. The shuttle service is terrible. We booked the 9 pm shuttle to return to the hotel, got there 10 minutes early and sat until almost 9:30 in a hot, stuffy van before being told that it was actually the 10 pm shuttle we were on. An excuse was made about the 9 pm shuttle having left because it […] couldn't park and no notification that we were on the later vehicle until other passengers complained about the wait. The driver drove at excessive speed through the Lincoln tunnel and the person at the other end was abusive to my guests as I was attempting to pay the driver. We made this mistake only once. The hotel's web site falsely represents itself as being close to public transportation, but it is a $20 taxi ride to the PATH or ferry to NYC and a long and unsafe walk to find the light rail to these stations. The rooms were ok, but the sheets didn't fit the beds and were not changed during our 3 day stay. Only 1 face cloth left in the bathroom. For the price, definitely not worth it. Read more

I had mixed thoughts about this Hotel after reading the reviews but still booked it because of the price. I was pleasantly surprised, the room was very clean and the bathroom had granite thru-out. the shower was real good too. Looked like the mattress were new. The breakfast was awesome. I would not recommend using the shuttle service because it picks […] up another hotel before this one and the seats were not available, however a short walk away is the NYC public bus and there is one there every 10min. We used the hotel as a simple way to get to NY without paying an arm and a leg. Forget the view unless you like to see a rocky hill or an industrial park. For a Day's inn I was quite surprised. The hotel was very clean and had a breakfast restraunt on the first floor that had pretty good food and great service. The service at the front desk was not as well, they were slow and not as friendly, we had to wait for about 5 minutes before even getting to talk to someone because they were too busy socializing […] in the back. Our room was nice, it smelled a little but you got used to it, it wasn't terrible... The beds were not that comfortable but had no bedbugs and were very clean. The rooms have a mini fridge but you have to pay to use it even for your own items, which is quite a rip off. The tv does not have that many Channels, mostly news but that was not a problem. The location was great. If you plan to go to new york city they have a transit bus that is very close by. The buses are clean and the workers are helpful. This is not a city bus that makes stops it is more like a shuttle that takes to to port authority station in times square. Again, very convieniet. Over all I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this to anyone traveling to New York on a budget. Read more

I booked 2 non smoking rooms. One of them was filled with the stench of nasty ciggs but they did find us a new room. The hotel is not good by any means. Every room had a couple of broken lights. TV are old school. Beds were comfortable and thank fully NO bed bugs. Bathrooms were semi clean. Difficult access from main highways. No restaurant on premises and nothing within reasonable walking distance. Neighborhood too risky to walk at night. An effort has been made to upgrade the room furnishings but the result is mixed. Small lobby. No complimentary coffee. Limited breakfast nook costs extra. Noise in the corridors late at night.

the price does not include breakfast. all the rooms have to have refrigerator and micro wave. we are not able to open the windows. we suffered lack of oxygen. the television was not working. the beds were dirty. we stayed in a smoking room. it was very dirty and smells very bad.

I stayed here on a personal day in between work nights at different hotels, and loved it. The room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom was fantastically well cared-for, and had a nice, huge tub with a ledge, perfect for reading and relaxing before a big day in the city. The shuttle the next morning dropped me off right in Times Square and I was […] off and running. The neighborhood isn't scenic or particularly walking distance to anything worth seeing, but it's also not not terrible, and is at least convenient via taxi to jersey city trains or shuttle direct to the city. Bottom line-- I spent twice as much on a room the night before on the company's dime and it wasn't nearly as comfortable or useful; next time they send me out there, I'm staying here regardless of who's paying. :) Read more
