Locals live and shop in West Sedona, which has earned the nickname “The Real Sedona.” This community is directly north of Red Rock State Park, a 286-acre site once part of a private ranch. The park’s trails provide close views of the flora, fauna, and distinct geology. Those averse to hiking can explore the red rocks in with style: Pink Jeep Tours’ off-road adventures are a tourist favorite.see all hotels in Sedona
Great location, wonderful, helpful and very warm staff members. Definitely would stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This is a small quaint hotel. All the necessities were available however it took 1/2 hour to warm up the TV before it would stop humming. I would recommend they upgrade their TVs to flat screen. Meeting the innkeeper the next morning and listening to his stories of Hollywood was very entertaining and interesting.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Baby Quail Inn Review"
We loved it even though it needs some modern update. Flat screen TV's would be nice, although the old box TV worked fine! The place is very pristeen and the staff are so warm and welcoming! The owner, a retired TV actor, met us in the dining room/museum at breakfast and we talked for over an hour. He was very entertaining and interesting, plus a great […] storyteller! We would go back in a heartbeat because if the accommodating staff and the price was right! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Only 12 rooms, so lots of personal attention from owners. A lovely couple with lots of stories to tell.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
What a pleasent surprise to find the Baby Quail Inn. An affordable gem among overpriced lodging in Sedona. The owners are friendly and welcoming, the rooms are clean and comfortable. You feel that you've been transported back to an earlier time when locally owned hotels were the norm not the exception.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Baby Quail Inn, Sedona, AZ."
Perfect little inn. Friendly and informative staff. Centrally located half a block off main drag. Great small town feel. Much better than the big hotels. Will definitely go back!!!Genuine Expedia guest review
The owners were wonderful the property although older was quaint , a good value for the money.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Sedona---we were very comfortable enjoyed"
The motel was easy to find. Very clean. Enjoyed the garden and plants Sedona is beautifulGenuine Expedia guest review
Stayed here for one night while passing through Sedona. Our very clean and comfortable room provided everything we needed and more (e.g. bathrobes). The staff were friendly and accessible and the breakfast was a nice selection of fruit, yogurt, cereals, and a few other items. We would definitely return in the future.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"More Like Bed and Breakfast"
The extra touches - extremely friendly staff, potted flowers ourside each room, garden area with tables and umbrellas, room colors and furnishings like a guest room in a home - made this stop more like a bed and breakfast. Room was small with a small TV, refrig, microwave (but we didn't come to Sedona to watch TV or stay in our room) and a nice bathroom. […] Restaurants around the corner. Excellent muffins in the continental breakfast which we ate in the garden. Very pleasant stay! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pleasant but basic"
Nice location and friendly vibe. Rooms are adequate, bathrooms are nice. Outdoor whirlpool was a nice feature,Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable and convenient"
The Baby Quail is close to all the outdoors that Sedona has to offer. It is not what I would consider close walking distance from the downtown shops, but I came for the hiking, biking, and sightseeing, and it was more than amenable to easily get to those locations. The quiet hotel also has a hot tub that I made use of each night, and friendly owners. […] I enjoyed my stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Was recommended by a friend and we were very happy with the room and entire Inn...very clean and upgraded. Would stay there againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"ray of sunshine"
We arrived on a gloomy, rainy Saturday. Altho it was a good hour before check-in time, the cheerful clerk did not hesitate in giving us our room and a brief rundown of the motel amenities, etc. The room was clean, but the bed could use an upgrade. The hilite of our stay came the next day when a true ray of sunshine presented itself in the form of Dick […] Curtis! As the owner, this man exuded a true love of life and brightened our breakfast with stories of his show business career. The "behind the scenes"stories of the various celebrities he had worked with were quite interesting. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Exceptional mom and pop stop"
We really enjoyed our stay here. Our room was so nice and clean. The grounds were exceptionally maintained. We enjoyed a nice breakfast and chatted with the owner, who is very entertaining. We would stay here again for sure!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"The wall is too thin"
The wall is too thin, I can hear next door having xxx. The internet was slow, but later became faster. The owner is a very interesting man.Genuine Expedia guest review
This was the description that the innkeeper used when checking us in and it's accurate. If you are looking for a fancy resort in Sedona this won't be the place to stay, but if you want a room that is pleasant, clean and well placed in town, this is a good pick. The hotel is older and certainly you can tell this. What it lacks in amenities (and it does […] have a hot tub, fridge and breakfast) it makes up for in the couple that runs the place. The man is a former TV and movie actor and treats you to many stories about the parts he played and celebs he knew. His wife is equally charming. The room is small, but in Sedona there is so much to do that you probably won't be spending tons of time indoors. Breakfast, served daily, is continental and has plenty of simple choices. "okay at best"
If I had to do again, would pay a little more and stay at a nicer place. The room had a damp smell that really bothered me. ... The gal at the front desk was very friendly and nice though. Made me feel welcomed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Small but friendly"
The owner and staff were inviting and nice but the room was small...really small.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Owners made the stay."
The husband and wife team were a joy. The owner is a retired "working actor" as he calls himself, who worked with many famous people. He entertained us at breakfast with stories from his days in Hollywood. It is a quaint out of the way inn that is comfortable and quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to our friends.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great locally owned motel"
This was a wonderful experience. Feels like a bed and breakfast without having to share a bathroom. Owners are wonderful people with a rich history. Walking distance to several restaurants and grill bars. If you want to get away from the big chain motels in Sedona this is the place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Better than chain motels"
My wife and I enjoyed our stay because of the secluded atmosphere despite the motel being very close to a major road. The people working there were delightful and helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Vintage Hotel"
Our accommodations were perfect for our needs...somewhere clean and comfortable to crash while touring Sedona. The innkeepers were wonderful, and the continental breakfast was adequate. The hotel has a very 60's feel to it, but not in a bad way...it really is very quaintly vintage!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to all attractions of the area"
Very enjoyable stay. Quite, clean, quaint and friendly staff make this an affordable accomodation in the Sedona area. Food, resorts, shopping and Oak Creek Canyon within a short distance.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This is a small, quaint, motel / inn that is quiet and comfortable. Well located and with a very nice on site owner. It's not the Taj Mahal but for the price it is well worth it and we will be staying there on our next visit.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Sedona mom and pop hotel"
This is a very nice mom and pop type hotel that is located just off of the main roadway. The hotels setting is somewhat quaint and gives it a feel that you don't get from the big hotel chains. "For the budget concern in mind"
I think the web picture looked better than it was in person. Staff nice but old inside and the bed was not in comfortable spot. We had people above us that kept us up all night and no one was on site after 7pm. But for the money we were fine.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect for adventurers"
This hotel is perfect for anyone looking to get some traveling and sightseeing done in Sedona. Small room, nice bath room, all the amenities you need. Great, friendly staff. Perfect location. Would definitely recommend.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not worth the money!"
Nice people, the owner is a hoot, and it is a decent facility but the price was a little high for the accommodations. For another $30 we had a suite at a golf resort for the next night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Charming Place and People"
My boyfriend and I went on a last minute trip to Sedona over the weekend. Upon checking out several hotels online we decided to book at the Baby Quail and I was so happy with that decision. If you are looking a fancy resort with a spa and all the hoopla this is not the place for you. But if you are wanting a quiet stay, with a comfortable room and super […] friendly employees and owners this is it! Upon check-in we were greeted by a wonderful young lady who had answered all our questions and had us on our way shortly. The rooms while smaller are exceptionally clean with updated nice decor, a large bathroom, and other essentials you would need. It is a short distance to everything - dining, shopping, bars which was very convienent. In the morning we enjoyed a selection from the conntinental breakfast - the coffee was great. I also I got to speak with Mr. Curtis the owner, who's stories, smile and general warmth made me feel right at home. I would definetly stay at the Baby Quail again. "Nice clean hotel, good value"
Nothing fancy, but a nice, clean hotel, good value for the money. Owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was sufficient. Only quibbles were I like harder beds so the bed was too soft for me, and the single queen room I stayed in had a window right above the bed and so at dawn, I was woken up by sunlight coming in through the curtains. "Great People and Affordable"
Owners Dick and Misty are terrific people. You feel like part of their family throughout your entire stay! If you're lucky, Dick may indulge you with stories of his past. Rooms are minimal, but if you're anything like me, you don't go to Sedona to stay inside your room! All you need is a cheap room with a shower and a comfy bed -- exactly what the Baby […] Quail Inn provides. The terrific, friendly staff is a bonus. The room was clean, the towels were excellent, we got a red rag to clean our shoes, the staff was helpful, you could get real plates from the office, and they had a collection of VHS movies that you could watch for free! "Great Place to Stay in Sedona"
We stayed here for one night during the off-season (June). The owners are very friendly and helpful and gave us a map of town, explaining the sights. The garden is cute, and the hot tub looked nice, but we didn't use it since it was so hot out. The room itself was adequately sized, and the closet and bathroom were large. Our mattress could have been […] a bit more comfortable (it seemed a bit old and sinking in the middle) but overall our stay was great. The location was great for all our destinations in Sedona. "Very glad I stayed here! Great affordable pick!"
Stayed here the weekend of June 16 and 17 to celebrate my one year anniversary with my bf. The best thing about Baby Quail is how friendly the owners and staff are. Also, for the price I paid and location being VERY near the heart of the action in Sedona, the rooms were surprisingly nice. They arent really THAT small, but they arent large. I prefer […] firm beds which is what we got, and it was quite comfy, but the bed in room 5 where we stayed should be replaced soon as it is sinking a bit too much on one side so it results in a slant. The bathroom was the best surprise of all, absolutely lovely and spacious, nice tile floor and the room and bathroom both are decorated nicely. Also the carpet in the room is not the gross damp feeling carpet you usually get at older places like this, it was surprisingly clean and fresh in the rooms all around! The only "downside" to this place is no hot choices for breakfast, just fruit, pastries, yogurt and cereal. This place is on the west side of the Y intersection of 89A and 179 and just over one mile away from the "uptown" main tourist shopping and dining area in Sedona, so it is in a quieter area but still near the action. It is also small and tucked into a residential neighborhood so its QUIET and cozy. I highly recommend this place if you dont want to spend the high prices at a Sedona resort. Of all the affordable Sedona choices, this one has to be the best, hands down. Best location, best staff and owners, and cute cute cute! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good location and friendly service"
The staff were pleasant and friendly. My 2nd floor room and bathroom had wonderful amenities for those with handicaps that, though welcome, seemed odd for a hotel with no visible elevator.
