With its front door opening to the shops, restaurants and galleries of Uptown Sedona, Ariz., The Orchards Inn of Sedona is located between Phoenix and the Grand Canyon. This Sedona hotel sits six miles from the outdoor activities of Slide Rock State Park.
Hotel Features.
The Orchards Inn of Sedona features the Taos Cantina, featuring Southwestern and New Mexican cuisine. Wireless Internet access is available for a fee in the lobby and restaurant. The hotels sundeck offers views of the Red Rocks and is home to a splash pool, spa tub and a separate dining area with a fire pit.

The 70 guestrooms of The Orchards Inn of Sedona span three floors and feature balconies or patios overlooking the majesty of the Red Rocks. Rooms are decorated with light wood furniture, carved wooden headboards and floral patterns. Microwave ovens (on request), compact refrigerators and coffeemakers are included. Bathrooms feature separate vanities with dual sinks, shower/tub combination, and designer toiletries. Wireless Internet access is available for a fee. All rooms include in-room safes.

Taos Cantina - Local favorite featuring Southwestern and New Mexican cuisine, including sizzling Fajitas and Chicken Chille Relleno, authentic Mexican cheeses and beverages. Casual atmosphere, with Southwestern pueblo decor and a shaded patio. Adjoining full bar offers signature drinks, including Rock Sangria and Organic Margaritas.
The outdoor splash pool, heated and open year-round, is surrounded by a sundeck with a spa tub, dining area, fire pit, and sweeping Red Rock views. The hotel provides discounted passes to a fitness center about a mile away.
The Sedona area offers about 75 hiking trails for all expertise levels. The Boynton Canyon Trail, 5.5 miles away, explores a gorgeous box canyon with abundant wildlife. At Slide Rock State Park, six miles away, visitors can slide down slippery rocks into Oak Creek. The West Fork Trail, about a mile past the park, is a leafy hike with numerous creek crossings and close-up views of sheer canyon walls. (All vehicles parked in trailhead lots must display a Red Rock Pass, sold at many area stores, hotels, and trailheads.)
Horseback riding, mountain biking, birding, and hot-air ballooning are other popular pursuits. Four-wheel-drive tours visit canyons, Red Rock landscapes, and centuries-old Native American ruins. Golf courses combine top-notch play with spectacular scenery. Courses open to the public include Oakcreek Country Club, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Robert Trent Jones Jr., and the Sedona Golf Resort, designed by Gary Panks. Both are about nine miles away.

This is our second time staying at The Orchards and it was great both times. The staff is VERY accomodating and quick to respond to any request (like clean glasses or taking out some oversize garbage). The location is excellent and the views are absolutely beautiful. The only thing that wasn't up to par was the patio by the pool. They have a beautiful […] stone fireplace and big wooden chairs, but the area looked dirty and neglected. This is a beautiful unique place. We had a double queen with a view and it was fantastic. The ONLY drawback to my stay was the bed. I don't know if it was that I slept wrong or what, but I think the bed was my problem when I had a sore back the next day. The Orchards Inn is located in a wonderful area in Sedona. Surrounded by beautiful views and easy to walk to shopping and restaurants. For a moderate priced location, I would recommend. However, we did start off with a few negative situations. We had been told that it would be a smoking room. It was not. The hotel claimed they have tried to correct […] this with a number of online, third-party booking sites and it hasn't happened yet. Also, we had booked a king. We stayed one night and it was great. The view from the room is fantastic. Only complaint is the A/C wouldn't go below 76 degrees and we had it set down to 65 and it wouldn't budge under 76. The "Inn" is really a motel. Room was clean and quiet, with a great view. Be aware that all rooms on the first floor are actually down a level of stairs and one must carry their luggage down a flight of outdoor steps. This was a bit difficult for us and we are in pretty good shape. One minor issue we had was due to weather conditions for that area […] when we were there - a snow storm was expected; we wanted to learn more about it and the weather channel simply had one screen with a forecast - it never changed. Good base for visiting the surrounding area once we managed to find it! It's quite a large hotel tucked away behind shops. Brilliant views of the mountains from our terrace, especially at sunset.
