With its front door opening to the shops, restaurants and galleries of Uptown Sedona, Ariz., The Orchards Inn of Sedona is located between Phoenix and the Grand Canyon. This Sedona hotel sits six miles from the outdoor activities of Slide Rock State Park.
Hotel Features.
The Orchards Inn of Sedona features the Taos Cantina, featuring Southwestern and New Mexican cuisine. Wireless Internet access is available for a fee in the lobby and restaurant. Taos Cantina - Local favorite featuring Southwestern and New Mexican cuisine, including sizzling Fajitas and Chicken Chille Relleno, authentic Mexican cheeses and beverages. Casual atmosphere, with Southwestern pueblo decor and a shaded patio. Adjoining full bar offers signature drinks, including Rock Sangria and Organic Margaritas.
Recreation
The outdoor splash pool, heated and open year-round, is surrounded by a sundeck with a spa tub, dining area, fire pit, and sweeping Red Rock views. The hotel provides discounted passes to a fitness center about a mile away.
The Sedona area offers about 75 hiking trails for all expertise levels. The Boynton Canyon Trail, 5.5 miles away, explores a gorgeous box canyon with abundant wildlife. At Slide Rock State Park, six miles away, visitors can slide down slippery rocks into Oak Creek. The West Fork Trail, about a mile past the park, is a leafy hike with numerous creek crossings and close-up views of sheer canyon walls. (All vehicles parked in trailhead lots must display a Red Rock Pass, sold at many area stores, hotels, and trailheads.)
Horseback riding, mountain biking, birding, and hot-air ballooning are other popular pursuits. Four-wheel-drive tours visit canyons, Red Rock landscapes, and centuries-old Native American ruins. Golf courses combine top-notch play with spectacular scenery. Courses open to the public include Oakcreek Country Club, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Robert Trent Jones Jr., and the Sedona Golf Resort, designed by Gary Panks. Both are about nine miles away.

Hotel was very clean and quiet and the front desk staff was very helpful with great info on hiking in the area. It is located IN the town but set back from the street so very quiet and the view is AMAZING. Gorgeous views! The only negative would be our balcony was right next to the pink jeep tours which had constant traffic until 9pm. You also had to get your parking space early enough that the lot does not fill. Other then that this place is central to it all.Genuine Expedia guest review

The Orchards Inn of Sedona is located in a convenient location and provides a great view from your room. The staff member I encountered at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and conveniently included a mini fridge and a microwave. I enjoyed the fireplace and appreciated that there was a sitting area with a couch as well. […] The only complaints I have are that the bedsheets didn't appear clean, the sink near the fridge and microwave was clogged/slow. Additionally, the walls and floors were very thin; we could hear our neighbors and practically had to tiptoe around to not sound as if we were galloping around our room. Beautiful views from all the rooms here. It's not as new as I expected, but still in great shape. It's in the middle of a small, quaint downtown which makes it great to walk to other places. As a Southern girl, I keep the a/c kinda cool ... the room temp, never really got down to where I like it, but it wasn't too bad. I do tend to be kind of picky […] about hotels re: cleanliness. This hotel is just okay. I would stay there again only if I couldn't find acceptable lodging in another hotel. When we got our first room it was in need of a major upgrade. Also we had 4 kids next to us one of which was a screaming baby. The walls were thin enough that you could hear the t.v. on next door. We asked to change rooms and the second room […] we got was much better. It had been updated and had coffee and a fridge. The plus side of this place is the views and the location. The town of Sedona is right outside your hotel door! Beautiful!!! We went to the pool and jacuzzi (nice), they provide towels poolside for you plus they have a laundry room if you need it. Each room has a fireplace which was nice even in the middle of summer. Parking was plentiful and the hotel was easy to find. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was very good but don't bother eating at the restaurant any other time as the food was terrible at dinner.
