"Room couldn't be smaller"
Smallest room we've ever stayed in. We were charged an extra $ 20 for aminities not even available. Pool was empty, no desk in room to work, too much furniture in a small room. "Not Worthy of Hyatt name."
We picked this hotel over the Hilton -Sedona based on our confidence level with past experiences of staying at Hyatt properties. This property is substandard for a variety of reasons: 1) Accessibility to rooms is miserable. We were informed to go up two flight of stairs walk down a path, then go down one flight of stairs. My buddy had to go up two flights […] of stairs, down one flight, then back up half a flight. The front desk did NOT point out the only elevator behind the lobby - which we found on our own. 3) Extremely dark walk ways - we fell FIVE times in our two day stay due to the lack of walkway lighting. We are in shape, and don't have vision problems. Their remedy was to use a small flashlight. 4) We checked in at 6pm, and were told we had to check out by 10 am the next morning. We could not enjoy the amenities due to this very tight check-in and check out policy - and the amenities (pool, jacuzzi, steam room) closed at 10 PM - about the time we came back from dinner - which you have to drive to surrounding restaurants. The only onsite place was sushi......I didn't go to the middle of the desert to enjoy sushi - when in the southwest, eat southwestern food! I seriously had to chuckled when on check out they said I owed $20 resort fee for the amenities that I did not have time to use. RIDICULOUS! "Definitely NOT Imreseesd"
In an area that contains so many quality hotels in approximately the same price range, the Hyatt facility in Sedona is by far the worst! The rooms for the most part have no views and are small. Being in the "center of town" is absolutely no advantage because Sedona is itself small. The hotel has no restaurant on premises. The choices of restaurant near […] the facility is poor. "not going back definitely"
We got to Hotel at 3pm but was told the room was not ready yet, we need to wait for 30 minutes. But when we went back to the front desk in 40 minutes, we were told the room needs another 30 minutes to get ready. After our complaint, we could checked into the room. To our disappointment, the room was on the first floor in a dark corner. We had to take […] heavy luggage downstairs. And the room was dark inside, and the balcony was by the stairs we just walked.
