The inn blends into the natural landscape with large, terraced promenade decks that overlook Sedona's red rocks. Rooms are decorated with blond-wood furniture, Southwestern-print fabrics, and framed photographs of the Sedona landscape; most have balconies with views. All rooms offer complimentary wireless Internet access, high-definition 37-inch LCD televisions with cable service, and complimentary bottled water.

The freeform splash pool is heated and open year-round. A 12-person spa tub adjoins the pool. The fitness center, open from morning to late evening, contains cardio and resistance equipment, and a TV.
The Sedona area offers scores of hiking trails for all expertise levels. The Airport Mesa Trail, a reputed New Age vortex site, is a half-mile away. The top of the mesa, reached by an easy drive, is a spectacular spot for sunset-viewing. Soldier Pass Trail, one mile from the hotel, provides access to rock pools and the Devil's Kitchen sinkhole. At Slide Rock State Park, eight miles away, visitors can slide down a natural water chute. The West Fork Trail, about a mile past the park, is a leafy hike with numerous creek crossings and close-up views of the sheer canyon walls. (All vehicles parked in trailhead lots must display a Red Rock Pass, sold at many area stores, hotels, and trailheads.)
Horseback riding, mountain biking, birding, and hot-air ballooning are other popular pursuits. Four-wheel-drive tours visit canyons, red-rock landscapes, and centuries-old Native American ruins. Area golf courses combine top-notch play with spectacular scenery. Among those open to the public are the Oakcreek Country Club, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Robert Trent Jones Jr., and the Sedona Golf Resort. Both are about eight miles from the hotel. A less-expensive alternative is the Beaver Creek Golf Club, about 20 miles away and a favorite among local golfers.

Locals live and shop in West Sedona, which has earned the nickname “The Real Sedona.” This community is directly north of Red Rock State Park, a 286-acre site once part of a private ranch. The park’s trails provide close views of the flora, fauna, and distinct geology. Those averse to hiking can explore the red rocks in with style: Pink Jeep Tours’ off-road adventures are a tourist favorite.

Overall it was a good stay. Good out of the way location but ok as base for sightseeing. Some very good restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was ok but very crowded. "Best Western Inn, kinda pricey for what you get."
We got checked in great. We told them we had our dog with us and they gave me a list of "Dog Friendly" restaurants. I thought that was great! Everything else was just average I thought. Nothing too fancy as far as rooms go. The AC didn't cool it much. Still okay, but a little on the warm side. The bathroom sink area had a separate door that seamed like […] it would be good idea if you were to shower while others slept. I thought that was nice. There was plenty of area for the dog to do her "business". The beds weren't too bad. My only thing I didn't like was the price. It seamed a little high for what you get. I could have spent an extra $20 and stayed and another place that had a much better breakfast. and much better room. The breakfast was your typical, overload of carbs breakfast. The front desk staff was nice, the breakfast people seamed nice when they were talking to others, however they didn't say one word to us! Overall I would say your paying for the area not the hotel.
