"Not What the pictures showed"
The Staff was incredible, but the room was not. We stayed in a room in a cottage that was very old and definitely did not have the amenities that were shown on the website. The bed was great. The bathroom was average at best. The tub was very shallow and narrow. I'm a tall man, but not 6'6" and the shower head would not adjust high enough for me. My […] wife would have enjoyed a bath, but would never take one in the tub provided. Every picture I saw on line had a fireplace in the room, but ours did not have one. The creek is beautiful, but our view from our room was just a hotel up the hill. For the price that we paid I would not say it was worth it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Do NOT stay in the lodge"
Stayed here one night. Location is convenient, right in the middle of everything in Sedona, yet secluded. Lovely patio on Oak Creek, excellent service from all the staff. Restaurant was very good. HOWEVER, we stayed in the Lodge (not a cabin). The construction of that building leaves much to be desired. We heard every footstep and movement from the […] people in the room above us. Whenever those people walked across the floor or even moved around in bed we thought they would come crashing down on top of us. A very nice day in Sedona and at L'auberge was ruined by a terrible night of very little sleep. As I drove away the next day, groggy from being up all night, that is the main memory I will take away. "I will return, but..."
While this is an excellent resort, as a first time guest, I have two complaints. 1) My wife and I stayed in a Lodge king room. I don't recommend this room at all. It's simply too small and the bathroom is unreasonably small. 2) I was surprised at the rather low dinner menu pricing. I was expecting to pay more at such a classy resort, but as the courses […] began to arrive at our table, the reason became clear. The portion sizes are small. This is a fabulous resort. The location and grounds are amazing -- right on the creek. The service throughout the resort was impeccable, but never pretentious. The resort is expensive, but worth it. Just don't skimp on the room as I did. Go for a cottage or above. I will indeed return Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Dealing with reservation changes"
When I had to change my reservation because I realize i had to be back home early, hotels.com along with L'Auberge staff gave me a lot of troubles. It is amazing how incompetent L'Auberge staff was in dealing with my issue and unwilling to help. Almost ruined my Christmas!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Were slightly disappointed in the quality of the lodge rooms for the price. Maybe the the cabins were of a higher standard? Maybe this was the best offering in Sedona ? Relative to our travels around the states and world, the finishes and quality of the room were not the standard we expected for the price. Fantastic service, food, and drink. Pool and […] fitness room small. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"2 day stay"
The cost of the hotel seemed to be far in excess of the value/amenities. It was a very lovely room however.Genuine Expedia guest review
"good but not great"
Hotel was nestled on the side of a hill that was very shaded. From our overpriced cabin, we could not see a thing. Hotel was fine, Restaurant was over priced and food was good. I've had better for the money and portions were small. Tv in room did not work properly and hotel did not move us, repair the tv or comp us in any way.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Sadona Review"
The service during our stay was fantastic. Never have I been treated so nicely. Even while using the common areas the staff was always pleasant and accomodating. I would not rate my room as high. It felt like an apartment I rented while in college. very small vanity and bathroom for a luxury suite. The patio had little to no privacy.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"All good but for the renegade bar-tender and the bizarre signature drink list..."
Auberge de Sedona is a very nice oasis nestled in the river valley very close to the center of town. Our otherwise wonderful experience was marred, however, but inexplicable behavior on the part of the hotel's bartender when we came in with some free "signature cocktail" drink coupons. The list of "acceptable" drinks was bizarre (as my travel companion […] put it, it was a compilation of drinks as invented by 4th graders). Hawaiian Punch flavored martini, a overly spiced jalapeno martini, a New York style iced tea with, as the bartender put it, a half-cup of sugar added (nice selling job, eh?), and some concoction made with bourbon. Having not been sold on the list, I asked to substitute a drink, even a cheaper glass of wine and was completely shut down. When we inadvertently forgot to hand over one of our coupons until after the bartender wrote up the bill, he actually sighed and said, "well, this will take some fixing!" For an establishment of this character, we were shocked and disappointed to have such a jarring and really unnecessary experience. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
