"Convenient to all of Sedona activities"
The reservation process was out of this world. The gal went over and above to assist me. (As did Hotels.com) The exercise room and classes were high quality - the quality of a nice health club. Booked this resort for my friends birthday. Planning on a relaxing weekend. This did not include being up and out of my room by 10:00 on Sunday. I have never stayed in a hotel that had a checkout earlier then 11:00 and even then most resorts will extend your checkout time til 12:00 with out any additional charges.Planned on a early hike and then shower […] and out by 12. No such luck. Another note is this property holds $250.00 on your credit card. It was also interesting that with a check in of 4:00 and check out of 10:00 they charge you a resort fee of $15. "Slow Service, Dated"
Waited 20 minutes to be checked in when I was first in line. Got an immediate sales pitch, which I declined. Didn't realize it was a time share property. Service only every 4 days. Grounds beautiful. Bathtub a little gross. Room otherwise fine. Was single woman traveling alone, but not offered help with bag. Our front desk staff does their best to service our guests, in a timely fashion, as they arrive, however the time it took to check you in is not typical of our resort. This will be addressed with our Front Desk staff. As a vaction ownership resort, we do solicit to guests about attending a vacation ownership presentation. In exchange for their time, we offer various incentives and gifts. However, attending a presentation is not mandatory. We try our best to make this as transparent as possible with our 3rd party exchange companies. When notified, our front desk staff would have been more then happy to assist our guests with their luggage. We are sorry that one of our employees did not reach out and assist you with your luggage. "Old school charm"
I got a great deal on this hotel through the website and I am soo glad I did! A friend and I went for a ladys getaway and stayed here. I paid for a studio and was upgraded to a one bedroom instead! It is definitely an older building with old televisions, but we didn't come to watch TV so I wasn't worried. It had a great kitchen that is fully stocked […] so we stayed in one night and cooked. The resort provides daily activities that you can participate in if you choose to do so as well. Overall I would definitely recommend this place for my friends to stay at, the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is simply that it is older and could use a little updating and has a rather early check out time of 10:00 am. .My sisters and I stayed for 1 night to help celebrate my cousin's b-day (they were staying for 3 nights). We drove up from Phoenix and were able to check-in early, thus it let us begin the birthday celebration right away. The front desk was efficient and courteous. We reserved 1 room, 2 bed suite and were upgraded to a 2 bedroom without any additional […] cost. The hotel is a little dated, however I understand the new owners are upgrading the facility. 1. Received handicap room as requested, check-in was easy. 2. Location of room was in a separate building which we liked with a reserved parking space. 3. The room was old and had not been updated as other rooms, carpet was worn and extension cords were used for TV, refrig., microwave, and coffee maker. 4. TV reception was terrible - continually dropping […] the signal. 5, No Internet access. 6. Shower controls were criptic. 7. Heater was noisy and ran all night - thermostat controls were ignored - set for 70, room was 76 when we left the next morning. 8. The hotel service was good, arrived 40 minutes early and a room was available with no delays til the 4pm check-in. The only thing are the beds, very uncomfortable. When getting the pull-out ready the person who was to sleep on it decided to put it back to the couch and sleep on it that way, as the springs were popping out the very thin mattress. First of all I requested two beds and after check in and getting into our room noticed that it had only one bed. Our room turned out to be a suite -- very spacious with a full kitchen, dining area, and sitting area. But the rooms are dark because there is no window on the entry side, and the decor is pretty dated (orange countertops). Parking can be a real problem. We returned from a concert at 11 pm and had to park 1/8 mile from the room. Not very convenient. […] The hotel restaurant is not open for breakfast, but if you plan in advance you can make your own breakfast in the room. We were surprised to find that a two night stay does not give you maid service. New towels had to be requested and the bed was never made. For the money we paid one would expect the room to be cleaned daily. I could have stayed at the Hilton for a similar price and gotten daily maid service.
