The lobby has been upgraded and is very nice. I was impressed when I walked in. Unfortunately the rooms were a different story. "Decent place but hidden fee."
The hotel is very nice and comfortable. But I went to check in, she told me hotels.com does not add in there tourist and travel fee of $1.00. Not a big deal except not only should everything be paid for when I book the room online she said it had to be paid in cash. I could not use my card. This is 2012, I never carry cash. She had to give me directions […] to the closest atm so I could get cash- and the 2.50 atm fee on top of it. She said I could not check in until I paid it. That's ridiculous. I was in town for three night on business and decided to stay due to its proximity to my work location. While the decor is plain and simple, but clean and orderly. The only negative was that due to my late arrival the only rooms left during check-in were smoking rooms. Having no choice I accepted for the night and was hardly able to walk-in the room […] due to the smell of smoke in the hallway and room itself.
